With Gen V wrapping up Season 1 with a devastating finale episode, we break down everything that went down at Godolkin University and explain how it connects to Season 4 of The Boys. #IGN #TV #TheBoys
This is why people are still interested in the superhero genre, we aren’t fatigued of the superhero genre we’re just tired of the same old boring superhero tropes and storylines, that we see in movies and it's refreshing to see that Gen V, and The Boys make something new with superheroes that we haven't seen in a long time.
@@melvindoo2396 it depends tho, if Marvel releases another generic superhero movie nobody would care but if Marvel released a gritty, sorta grounded superhero movie people would be interested in seeing it
he's not invincible actually, he's been shown to take damage its just that no one in the show besides soldier boy and maeve have been shown to actually hurt him. He's just in that much of a higher tier of power from most the cast. However Marie and now with the recent reveal of Victoria with those blood abilities have shown an incredibly high ceiling for what that power is capable of. That headsplosion move is quite possibly the most powerful attack in the show right now and might be able to completely neg the endurance homelander has due to how it works.
@@varadvithalkj1716 Homelander challenged Neumann to do it. If she succeeded, she lived. If she didn't, she'd die. Those were the stakes, and Neumann chose not to try.
They even have similar powers aside from like weapons mastery, and Sam now doesn't have any morals stopping him so he could end up being similar to comic book Black Noir
@@elijahmeilak2906Cate becomes a supremacist like flicking a light switch. In fact the whole Supe Lives Matter movement at the campus wasn't well set up at all it just kinda happened in one scene during the debate. Also Marie decides she doesn't care about finding her sister anymore at the end why? Because she has a boygirlfriend and a clique now?
@@thembanitheone You obsviously lack braincells if you think that you not understanding basic "in your face plot points are inconsistencies." Cate was manipulated by indira her whole life and when indira told her to kill all the supes in the woods and that she will release a virus to kill all supes exect her. What was she supposed to react. writing wize? Her parents discrimated her for her powers and locked her in her room with a metal door for NINE YEARS. radicalization isnt a long process. And marie saying she dosent care about anything right now was out of panic as chaos was taking hold she just wanted cate to stop the madness.
black noir posters in his room, similar powers, and dissociating people with puppets like noir does with cartoons. Oh and he now feels nothing. Yes he will be the new Black Noir. Though he's not black and seems more of a zinfandel guy. White Zinfandel.
The fact that there are so many threads and interactions we're looking forward to in both The Boys Season 4 and Gen V Season 2 only goes to show how great these shows are. These characters are so well written and the stakes are so high it can go anywhere and you're once again excited to see characters you didn't even know existed a couple months ago be in the same room and interact with established heroes and villains. Brings me back to the MCU days before they started choosing quantity over quality.
That is like saying that a SWAT/soldier member should not use force….. Authority and justification are key. Or do you want police officer to just stand there and go into a moral conundrum of “but can my actions be ok, as they invade the morality and freedoms of the perpetrators” as you are being assaulted…..
In season 3 episode 2 of The Boys on 24:58, there is an image of 17-year old Marie Monroe on a computer monitor at the Red River Institute. Hughie went there and lied to the caretaker about wanting to adopt a Supe child
Especially since Black Noir’s entire body is covered up & he doesn’t speak. He’s pretty much the only member of the 7 who can be recast so easily. All the other members’ faces are too well known &/or their powers are too iconic (like with Translucent)
Loved how the music was upbeat and inspiring for a few seconds then turns more awkward and ominous because of the character development Homelander has had recently
@@Karlach_antony Starr as homelander steals the show in every scene he’s in. And to say his scene wasn’t impactful doesn’t make sense. It was a huge moment and cliffhanger that sets up multiple storylines moving forward
I’m so happy this universe exists after marvels demise. It just goes to show eras end and others begin. Looking forward to how this whole franchise plays out
theory that there is some kinda healer supe on compus which makes sense because the students are prone to indury so that healer supe might also heal kates arm back@@BlackOmegaEnt
He's on ice for at least one main season, surely. Otherwise it would have been completely pointless defeating him, narratively. Can you imagine if Stormfront came back as an actual antagonist in season 3?
Yeah definitely. Made no sense for him to be the real version of himself since the kids would never know about that side of him. They would only know the propaganda side that Vought wanted the public to know.
If they will stick to the ending of the original material, we all know how messed up Butcher's attitude towards supers gets. It got so bad to the point that Hughie was forced to stop him.
A prediction for the next season: Ryan becomes as evil as his dad as the season progresses, but not as powerful yet. Butcher realises he has to kill him before he becomes another Homelander. So he uses the virus on Ryan, which then makes Homelander into the maddest he’s ever been going into season 5
Yes. The show clearly shows us this when Billy and the boys go get Becca and Ryan. Its not as effective against Homelander but it does disorient him and limit his super senses.
that wasnt the special frequency that hurts supes tho they just got regular speakers and made a bunch of noise so it will mask their own noise and distract him it didnt actually do any damage@@mr.potato7075
The virus was developed only recently, and the lead scientist concealed it’s existence from Vought (since he was threatened by that other genocidal lady). Same scientist tries to whistle-blow, but got exploded by Neuman. From Vought’s perspective, all they knew about were the power transfer experiments (done on Sam and Golden Boy). The virus project was in early development stages, and Vought only ordered them to develop a way to detain superbeings…… Vought did not get the report back about the successful completion of a virus, and much less about a lethal version being there.
Not being afraid of killing great and important characters are what made the show really great, it makes you wanna watch out everytime. Plus, usually not all dead characters stay dead, golden boy would occasionally pop up be it as a memory or one of Luke’s hallucinations.
@tvalokibatman6563 recent update said editing is complete, they are halfway through working on visual effects. Season 4 will be with us early next year.
Ryan is a natural-born Supe. What if he's just superpowered without compound V? He'd be the strongest human alive who's DNA could breed more compound V-less supes.
@@matt6872 Actually Boys WAS Dc comic originally (for the first 4 chapters). Elseworlds or whatever those detached stories owned by the same company are called these days. Then Boys got dropped like hot potato by DC comics, and was released as a stand-alone thing under Dynamite comics.
Normally, yes. Captain America is street level, whilst Soldier Boy is nuclear. If we talk about Cap infused with Thor’s powers (weilding Mjolnir), then no. Cap claps Soldier Boy then.
