So while women are abandoning menstrual calendar apps due to anti-abortion legislation, Apple wants to force app menstrual tracking. Also, since it's an Apple product, you can never really be sure that it isn't tracking that data even if you tell it not to. This is concerning.

Menstrual cycles can be tracked for the purpose of PREVENTING pregnancy, just as much as the purpose of creating life. Do I recommend the "rhythm method" alone, NO! There's an old joke: "What do you call people who use the rhythm method for birth control? Parents!" Long story short, there is more than one reason to track a cycle. On a side note, if you think Google isn't also doing everything you are concerned about Apple doing...you are mistaken. If you want your privacy respected, give it ALL up and move to a commune! 🤪

Thanks, Trevor, for a glorious run. One thing about Tolkien and Medieval history. Family lore has it that the favored sidekick (in the Imperial Guard) of my first-mentioned knightly ancestor was a Mauric Converso from Cadiz, back in the first half of the 11th Century.
