I am quadriplegic from a gun shot when someone tried to rob my car at a gas station 15 years ago and require 24 hour nursing care. If I try to work and earn more than $25k a year I lose everything and have no benefits. America incentivizing me to not work. Healthcare shouldn't be hung over my head. So I work to the limit and volunteer on boards of 3 nonprofits. Companies profiting on people not working, people in for-profit prisons and profits on these terrible foods they sell us just to name a few. Your videos are awesome and I hope these countries dont make the same mistakes as the US!

At 4:30... is a common 'scam' in Cambodia. People buy a temple bird, say a prayer and set it free.... but stand back and watch.... they are like homing pigeons. Within 5 minutes they come back and want to go back into the cage.

I can't tell if it is hot or cold given that all of the Cambodian ladies on the videos are all wearing long sleeve shirts and those bucket, sweater-material looking hats. I'm assuming it must be cold even on a sunny day

The reason they're wearing long sleeves is because of sun exposure. They don't use "sun creams" and all that pharma garbage. They rely on actual shade and cover to protect themselves.. its hot here ! around 35-39celsius most day, night time drops to around 28c... Besides, in their culture (and many Asian cultures) they're obsessed with pale skin, as its a sign of "high status" . A.K.A not having to work out in the sun. the opposite of the west, where many are obsessed with getting a tan.

Hi Chris, I moved from Cambodia to Texas. And I am in Southlake Texas with my husband and my 2 kids. Yes! The vendors on the streets and in the front yard are getting ridiculous here in California!! I have a neighbor who sells food in her front yard, which at first I had no complaints because her food is so good. But now we have issues with parking because of all her customers. 😂😂 Also, those vendors are taking away from the actual restaurants that have been there for years whom have been doing the right thing and obeying US laws/regulations. Now my favorite Taco Shop got to shut down because it’s not making enough. I’m going to miss that place.😢

fortune telling in cambodia is 80% accurate. now if you want 100% accurate. your gonna have to go deep in cambodia forest or jungle. and if your lucky to meet an old man dress in all white or a tiger stripe pattern cloth. but you see them with your naked eyes. you need to be holy both in spirits and body and pure goodness of people. you have to be close to buddha level to see then or angel level. because those master or great sage. theyre always in invisible spell mode thats why people cant see them. like i said you have to be in angel level to see them. and they are powerful being. if you study spells under them ooh wow. imagine what you can do

@SoklinnaKang I think you missed his point. I don’t know when you moved to California, but Chris is right about California. Born and Raised in Cambodia, moved straight to California from Cambodia when I was a teen in 1998. Homes were much more affordable and way less homelessness. We weren’t qualified for anything cuz my parents worked (minimum wage) to support 3 of us, but were able to purchase home eventually. They would not be able to purchase home now with their income. Noodle soup that used to cost $6 back then is now almost $20. Banh Mi used to be $2.5 and now $10. Middle class like us pay so much taxes and we have to pay for insurance. I rarely go get nails or hair done and shop at Costco for clothes. You see the folks that are on food stamp and free medical go get their hair and nails done often, wear brand name purses and clothes. It’s also true that people sell their food stamps for cash to buy booze and drug.

My points was this, I was trying to let those who was trying to used this kind of the situation to put Cambodia and America in tough relationship even though we can not see it but it kind like a doubt offensive feeling towards both countries especially Cambodian and American. And I also want to clear that there are good and bad people everywhere so if we judge all over the place due to a bunch of people who choose to do bad then it was so unfair to those who choose to live good for all their life. To me Cambodia or America is a great place to live as long as we live in righteous. And Christ, as what I can see from his behavior and the way he treated to Cambodian or other, he won’t be a bad guy I thinks.

Nice introduction to PP. I know you visited PP before- welcome back. There are white homeless mental health cases in PP and BKK- lost souls. I am glad you didnt give him too much money- he needs to seek help. Giving street kids too much isnt good either- can cause issues because they want more as well as they expect more money from the next barang they encounter. Be safe on your travels. I lived in Cambodia for 2 years.

personally absolutely hated the Phnom Penh. nothing more than Red Light Districts and annoying tuktuk drivers... Battambang was more interesting with way less tourists

I left out the part that I left California and moved to Nevada, but Nevada is not much better. California has turned into a shit hole, and the California I grew up in doesn't exist anymore.
