Genuine question, what are the Sikhs views of Punjabis in Punjabi India regarding Khalistan and are they pushing for it? I’ve always been on the fence in regards to Khalistan, ideally the Indian government will treat us as Indian citizens, however after so much hurt, in terms of the rivers, the influx of drugs, the destruction of Punjabi/ Sikh culture or language, not to mention 1984 and beyond. What choice do we have? I think we should put our foot down and take control as we alway have in the past, time to take control
regarding to punjabis in Punjab I think I allot of them do agree with the idea of Khalistan but are scared to speak up about it because they heard about and know what will happen to them and their families by the Indian government.
All Sikhs want Khalistan. They just don’t want to be murdered by Hindu terrorists in Punjab. That’s why Americans and Canadians speak more freely about Khalistan.
I'm a south indian living in US. FYI all south indian states also have a local identity which is very strong. Why not push Indian to be more like EU instead of full sovereignty? Asking for special status is doable under the union. I agree "ek sikh is sava lakh". But don't you want Software/Tech /Space Research which the south of india has? or the mercantilist of Gujarat. Who will work in punjab farms if not people from UP/Bihar? Each state brings it's magic to the union. Europe got destroyed with this till 1947 now they are peaceful because of EU.
Well once Khalistan is established there will be no corrupt gov preventing these tech and other companies from starting up in Panjab, it’s a racist thought to think panjabis can’t also do tech like South Indians, panjabis just aren’t given the resources to, But if khalsa raj is established it would be beneficial to allow a type of open border with the south
@naveenmadiraju54 a federal India is what the Sikhs (including Bhindranwale and the Akali Dal) were agitating for through the Anandpur resolution but the indian govt - in their desire for complete centralisation - spun it into a demand for secession. If Sikhs campaign for it again I imagine the response of the Indian state and people will be the same. If all like-minded states like the south and Punjab worked together then it may succeed. I don't see that happening though.

i got a question if khalistan is made in existing punjab there is also significant amount of punjabi hindus why would they support it according to international law they have as much claim on the land as sikhs as a result khalistan will be half the size of original punjab,

I have a few requests and the first would be to please stop comparing Sikh struggles in India with African American issues. They aren’t even remotely similar. African Americans were purchased as slaves, dragged to US for free labor. Our ancestors were beaten, tortured, lynched and killed by masters. I mean I don’t even know where to begin here but I heard the gentleman in the middle make a similar comparison in the video about Amritpal. We fight for freedom, civil rights and integration with society (not separation, not segregation). We’re NOT being accused of organized crime rings or terrorism… which by the way I would really appreciate it if you guys would have the guests on to explain those specific allegations because things just don’t add up. you should probably read about sikhs shaheedis/martrys and holocausts under mughal raj, then during independence and then after independent india not only death but torture in most inhumane ways possible, we just didnt just bow down and do as told.
If you want to fight autocratic regimes go. Get military training and gather your numbers. You will find very few volunteers. Most do not care for anybody they just act like they do. The smartest choice you can make is to create your Khaliststan in Africa. Buy land and build your economy. Then invade countries and liberate them from their shackles. The khalsa kingdom which was established by the Sikh misls had the highest literacy, no mosques or Mandirs were desecrated or demolished during that raaj under Maharaja Ranjit Singhs tenure. Numerous Hindu temples were repaired/ built as were many mosques. As opposed to the hindutva rule since 1947 which has overseen the destruction of historic Gurdwara at Hardwar, Jagannath, majnu Ka tilla and Akal Takhat to name a few. Obviously the Indian government is targeting Khalistanis, but lets be real. I still agree with Jagraj Singh Ji’s perspective: the ambition to make Khalistan real as landlocked Punjab is obviously a complete joke that has 0 potential of working and is nothing more than a massive distraction from actually improving Punjab and India through economic and social change.
How can you simultaneously claim wanting a free Panjab is a joke and then say wanting to rule India is a better idea. Let's skip both then and go right to ruling the solar system yeh? Why not that instead? Why start with just a country?
Simply untrue there are many countries that work well despite being landlocked. Punjab feeds 400m in India, as long as International riparian laws are followed Punjab will be the rightful owners of fresh water flowing in from the Himalayas, once we bring Haryana and Chandigarh back into the fold the potential of Punjab to grow rapidly providing the leadership is not corrupt is huge. Jagraj Singh actually said why stop at just Punjab. Once Khalsa Raj is in place the rest of the states will want independence from centre control, it will result in a rapid domino effect, much like what we witnessed during the farmers protest, only takes a spark to burn down established forests.

Well one question. All things aside. Why do people not talk about Pannu's threat to hindus of Canada. Is it justified? But no one talks about it. Why no Canadian sikh talks about this. So a sikh was killed does that give anyone the right to threaten entire Hindus in Canada. How are then you different from anyone. And also the very theory that Punjab is because of sikhism is itself wrong. Yes Punjab is of Guru Sahibs. But even when sikhism did not exist punjab was still there. And also the concept of Khalistan is based on that there was raj of sikhs on Punjab. So what before Sikhs hindus ruled Punjab for many many 100 years. Do you even know how old is hinduism. Going by the logic that sikhs ruled Punjab well many people ruled punjab land, Mughals did, Delhi Sultanate, Hindus did. So by this logic the land belongs all of them. @thorodinson6597 I live in Toronto, Canada and I have seen no hate or retaliation towards Hindus. Every Sikh I have spoken to has blamed the Modi government. Secondly you spoke on the idea of previous raj over Punjab. You are correct that many kingdoms have built on that land however today Sikhs have the majority population, religious ties, and the Modi government is blocking the rivers to destroy the land. We need independence and punjab is the ideal state, the state is not important the independence is.
For sikhs spirituality and worldly things including politics go together and it started by 6th Guru when the Government were tyrants as now the Indian Government is. So only spiritual is not path of true sikhi.

@@ComFinEd369we are working in Punjab and will be working until we get our rule. Mughals were doing the same to Hindus as now Hindus are doing to Sikhs. In both cases one community were having country and the other community was under their rule.
