My compliments for quit smoking I stopped two years ago and it gives you so much more energy. Don't give up! I thought about buying the legend. But I don't. I stick with my anfibio. Yes it's more heavy but I don't search as. Much as you do and I am 67 and I only search in lakes. I like your reviews thank you for your efforts

I forced myself to use both arms to swing the detector!! Naturally right handed, but ambidextrous while metal detecting. Either right or left, my swing is very precise and it allows me to detect twice as long . All day !!!!

Totally agree man. Thats why i bit the bullet and paid the $239 for the coiltek 10x5.... Thr Legend 11" Dish is just not a practical size and weight for Park detecting and wears my arm out within 30/45min.. Coiltek put the Equinox total weight down (1) full pound over the Legend with the standard 11..

This is spot on and if the Legend came with a 9" coil I would probably buy one, but for me the 9" is the perfect balance between coverage and separation for the park hunting. I have the 5" on my F75 for the really trashy areas but if I had to swing one machine all day it would be the XP with the 9" coil.

Why don't you get a metal detecting sling? I bought one online, put an extra piece of padding on it where it runs over my shoulder, and I go beach detecting for 3 and 1/2 - 4 hours on a regular basis with no difficulty. It takes all the weight off your arm. I'm 72 years old..
@oldplucker1
@oldplucker1 2 года назад
Agree! Lightness is a key attribute for detectors especially for the over 50s but also allows more coverage in the same time. I have used the 10x5 Coiltek on my Nox and it has found a lot of stuff. It is my preferred coil for smallish to medium sized areas. Set up properly it gets in between. Even on the beach it is great. I went to a beach that had been well done for years even by me before and pulled a silver ring and 56 coins with 5 hours searching. And those targets had been there for years because the sand hardly moves on that beach. When the crops are harvested I will be out with the Deus 1 on the big fields because it is the lightest weight. Probably 11”X35 and 9”HF. Also I will use the Nox 11” on those fields but only for a couple of hours. The problem is that a lot of younger muscle bound detectorists don’t care about weight but The D1 is still selling because it is so light. 👍🏻

@@VegasDtech I agree with the freak that it hurts the first three hours the first time but if you push yourself and do it a couple days you get used to it and it becomes easy. It's just like lifting weights you have to train yourself. We hunt old colonial here in south Jersey and the stuff is deep so we use every advantage to get to it. Btw a big coil is very effective at punching through iron to find the high conductors once you learn to listen for the subtle tone breaks. I don't have any park experience all farm field and long forgotten colonial woods, and beach in the summer or norEasters. Everyone should do this. Honestly I have no problem swinging all day long with a Kruzer using a 13 inch coil. You just have to switch arms and one rests while the other gets tired. If you aren't willing to do that simple thing nothing will ever make you happy. Switch to s lighter machine and your muscles will atrophy and eventually that will be too heavy as well. That being said, I got a 7 inch concentric for my Kruzer and I'm loving it. It's good to have odd sized coils from everyone else anyway because it will pull targets the other standard sizes all missed. :)

I was disappointed that the LG24 wasn't already in production at the time the Legend was released. In the very least, it should have been considered for Pro Pack, not the LG15. With SP24 being favored as best all-around coil for the Simplex, in my opinion these are the type of coils that should be shipped be default. I just got the LG15 today, as I was one of those first to get the Legend by not getting the Pro Pack. However, I don't understand why the LG24 is third in line with no release date in sight. Who knows, it may be slated for Christmas, but is too long a time to wait when 2 coils have already been developed. I hope not too many are turned off by the Legend not having the LG24 as the default coil shipped. I realize now it may all be for marketing reasons. If the LG24 had been sold with Legend is default primary coil, few would feel the need to get the other coils. Dilek confirmed to me that there is currently no known release date for the LG24.
