Although I admire his tenacity and commitment, it's obvious to all but the most naive among us that he would make a horrible president. Maybe as bad as Biden, if that's even possible.
If not for my pandemic layoff I would not have had been able to access MediCal. Without MediCal I would have died last year. I am 53 and was otherwise healthy but had my first major health crisis that required major surgery and extensive recovery. I was never more relieved to be unemployed and that is coming from someone who has been working since the age of 12. Other countries have solved this problem and we have no excuse for people being financially ruined by health care and drug costs. Thank you Bernie for shining your light so brightly. We need you now as much as we ever did 🤍
This is the thing about Bernie. People sometimes talk about establishing an age limit on the President or other political members, and I generally agree, because younger people have more reason to want to improve living conditions. Bernie is outright an exception. It's crazy that since he was a young boy he's held and fought for the same beliefs he's fighting for now. Like these are all still issues he has to fight for, instead of being issues that he fought for and were solved.
This is true. But the sad thing is that he has to talk about these issues because nothing substantial has happened during his lifetime. Wouldn't it have been great if we had actually acted on these issues decades ago.

After these past few years, I’m not gonna lie, I lost all faith in the human race. Everything from our greed, our disregard for science, our corruption, and our indoctrination of young minds led me to believe there was no hope for us. But once I saw this man stand up, and keep pushing and pushing to make things better no matter how futile it may seem, it inspired me. Now, I actively go to protest and help with the movement because I’m putting my faith in this man. I sure hope he gets into the primaries.

Despite the fact that I have been a volunteer in my community since I was 10 and I spent time in law-enforcement in many different roles, however because I am now poor I get to live the rest of my days in bed being tortured because of arrogant orthopedic surgeons and money hungry healthcare suits. It sickens me and it tears me apart how brutal this countries become to its own citizens. My condition is 100% fixable.

@@loudorchen9897 Sanders has typically been pretty resistant to relaxed immigration, being more concerned with how corporations currently can exploit such and how this can impact wages. Koch Brothers think tanks have promoted multiple immigration bills that would relax boarder laws in ways Sanders fears are not solutions but exploits. Currently though, Bernie has changed his tune a bit after listening and working with a host of immigration reform groups. He doesn't support open boarders, but after the horrible results of separating children from parents at the boarder because we started criminally charging the parents and even the children... Sanders is in support of Decriminalizing illegal boarder crossing and treating it as a humanitarian issues, so getting people help, versus charging them with crimes.

@@carriesee8547 I have HTN too. I take a 325 mg aspirin every day. What it does, is unstick the blood cells, making them slide through the blood vessels easier. It helps, and it’s almost cheap. Keep in mind, I’m not a doctor, just a nurse.

Whenever the topic of another presidential campaign comes up, someone always brings up his age or that he's white and a man. I'm a young POC woman and I don't see anything wrong with being older if you understand and sympathize with the struggles of young people today. There's nothing wrong with being white if you work for the rights of people of color. There's nothing wrong with being a man if you see women as equals and support their rights.
Exactly. I think it's very telling that the same types who complained about Bernie being an "old white man" somehow had no problem with Joe Biden who is just as white and male and like 5 minutes younger. They were just looking for excuses to trash on Bernie.
