Consul General Alexandero is a down-to-earth nice man. From what I read trade between India and Rome was happening thousands of years ago and it continues. Do they still sell Vespa and Fiat in India (those are Italian brands). Why people like Mumbai I don't know, I guess it must be like NYC. I am going to try oneday his Risotto recipe, the way he did it. I like the fact he used a different spoon for tasting, very hygienic.

Welcome to mumbai sir. I want you to try making risotto using indian indrayani rice instead of arborio rice because i think they are somewhat similiar and indrayani rice is cheaper about rs.50/- per kg. Risotto resembles indian khichadi but instead of butter we use lot of pure ghee and its a comfort food like risotto. I hope you enjoy living in my country and especially my birthplace mumbai.
