Not a question, just a tip because I got my beard removed and it doesn't grow back. You should take a DHT blocker like Finasteride. It will help keep the beard hair from growing back. It took me 13 sessions to not have to go back anymore.

It's permanent (?) hair "REDUCTION". You'll never achieve full hair removal from the standard 6 or 8 sessions (it's a START). Facial hair (moustache, around the lips) and genitals are 100% prone to new growth (and always will be). Most effective on legs, chest / stomach and back. Even in a best case scenario, you'll still need periodic "top-ups" for the rest of your life (perhaps as little as full body once per year). It does NOT work on grey / white hairs (even after 20+ treatments over several years, I now have a full beard which is primarily white). You're right about the shedding leaving little patches of beard shadow which make it look like you missed a spot whilst shaving - people around me noticed whilst I was having monthly treatments. If you ever want to 'pass' in public with makeup, laser facial hair reduction is a HUGE step towards success, but it will never be as good as you would like (or the advertising suggests). Also keep in mind if you end up in hospital due to some unforeseen accident, you're going to look a bit "odd" with random patches of hair (which also highlight what the technician MISSED).

I've just had my 4th laser hair removal session and I definitely notice the upper lip and chin areas you mentioned aren't as effective as the rest of the face/neck. I'm sure it's sparser but tbh sometimes it can feel like it's not doing anything lol. I can't wait to be done with facial hair.

I have a hugeeee amount of dysphoria about facial hair myself and luckily I have insurance that will be covering it. I start HRT this week but think I am going to try starting laser sooner than later as well! I just got an IPL machine for my legs, arms, and the rest of my body and can't wait for the estrogen to start working and lowering my T too. TY for the recommendations I think my insurance should cover the costs hopefully. :)

IPL IPL IPL for the rest of your body except facial hair, certain sensitive areas and genitalia! It's super easy and not painful at all and being able to do it at home and only paying $300 for one time is amazing in it's own right. I am currently doing all of my body!

Laser hair removal gets rid of a lot of hair (if the hair is dark colored). But won't get rid of it all. Laser shops say it can take up to 12 sessions (or more) to get rid of almost all of it. Long Story Short...Use Laser to get rid of most of the hair. Then switch to electrolysis to massacre the rest of those stubbly lil pains. If you're going to get 2 more sessions for $170 each, would it be better to spend the $300-400 to get the Groupon for 7 sessions, use as many sessions you need on your face, and then use any left over sessions on another area (under arms?).

As someone who's looking into this for the future, this is a very useful video! Great to see the queen of RU-vid back! Pound for pound, the most hard working creator in the current day!

I am starting with waxing on the legs because I like to wear shorts, then arms and lastly I think the face because I don't have that much facial hair either.

Have you considered at home ipl device? Like a good one is $300 but can be used for many many sessions

Good to see you again, Polar.😀 I'm interested to know how care for trans people is arranged in your country. I'm from the Netherlands, and I heard that health care in America is... not very good. Do you have a doctor or therapist who's helping you with transitioning? Also, is your HRT covered by insurence? I realise this is not entirely the subject of your video, but it's something that came to mind when I heard you talk about your HRT and medication. I imagine it would be kind of a hassle to write about this in a comment, but perhaps an idea for a future live stream?😙 Wish you the best! Hugs & kisses 😘

First 6 months slow results. It takes about 24 months to see real full results. After 24 months you ll see amazing results. Gets smoother and soft. But the beginning it will look like nothing is happening. Did my legs. Took about 24 months and smoother softer and lighter hair.

All of these things are stuff that they DO tell you about laser hair removal. All of it. I've had seven sessions and all of this information was readily available from the clinic and literally all trans subreddits.

Treatments brings the underlining hairs to the surface then it starts to get thinner and thinner after each treatment.😊😊

It's nice seeing you again. Good tips. That said your head hair is getting good and pretty so you don't need to use wigs anymore. Wish you all the best sister!
