I wanted to make a video about my experience playing OTB chess tournaments as an adult improver because despite all of the tips/etiquette/what to do/what not to do videos out there, I was still quite surprised by how psychologically and emotionally different it was to play chess over the board. I hope this can be helpful to other amateurs who are considering playing in their first tournament and I'm interested to hear from others who have gotten into chess as part of the recent
"boom" and how your experience translated to OTB competition.
Let me know in the comments what your experience was like for your first OTB tournament or if you have any questions about an upcoming tournament!
