We don’t like meat in our family except for Sea Food. You still need the chickens to get the eggs. We play games on the holidays. I am with Granger “Amazon”!
Tree not up yet, nor are the lights (I don't have a ladder tall enough to put them on the house). Sweet or Mashed- both for Thanksgiving. Stuffing if it is in the turkey and dressing otherwise. But we do call it turkey and dressing. We usually bake our turkey. When you discover your turkey is spoiled after you cook it (happened today), we had to substitute with chicken. We were just thankful that we were able to have a nice meal together. Favorite Thanksgiving dessert: Pumpkin (or any kind) Cheesecake. Not really a Black Friday shopper anymore. I am thankful that I was able to spend Thanksgiving with my mother and my brother's family. We have missing family members, too, but I'm grateful for the time we did have. I am thankful for my Yee Yee Nation friends, The Smiths, and most importantly for His love and grace. Blessings to you all. ♥🙏🦃
STUFFING, Mashed potatoes, tree up on Halloween, lights on the house after Thanksgiving, and favorite Thanksgiving desert is Banana Cream Pie. Most thankful for our 2 grand daughters ❤️💙
I have listened to your whole new album now 6 times. I love all the songs. Tailgate church pew, In this house, and Damn guitar are my favorites. Thank you for your music. Music also has helped me get through the passing of my wife in March 19, 2022. Thanks and God bless
Haha! I decorated for Christmas the first week of November. And my husband just goes along with my craziness because he knows how much I love Christmas.
inside of my house was decorated the week before Thanksgiving, outside was done after Thanksgiving. Baked Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, Dressing. Love ya'll!
My dear friend I have been fiends with since elementary school (40 years) lost her brother the day before Thanksgiving. She has lost 2 siblings from cancer in 3 years. Prayers for her family are appreciated ❤❤❤
My current favorite desert probably is a apple crisp and no don’t usually have any special tradition, except for going around and saying what we are thankful for
I am one of those that spent Thanksgiving alone. The holiday's can be very depressing. But God... ! I'm so thankful for my salvation. For His Word that is a light and a beacon. I am blessed with a home , warm clothes, shoes on my feet, on and on. I thank you Smith family for being a beacon of light and hope to all who follow you. From Amber's Arise, to Grangers sermons, to this beautiful family that show God's love, grace and mercy to all. God bless you and keep you and yours! Hugs, love and prayers from a soon to be Great Grandma in Kansas 💞❤🙏🏻
I can relate with you...being alone on holidays are depressing and can make you so sad... I'm been a widow for going on 12 yrs it is still hard .... God bless you
@@lindaschumacher6282 We are both members of a sisterhood that we never wanted to be in. I was widowed 12 years and 4 months ago. I'm sending you big hugs, love and prayers. One day at a time Sister !! God bless you and keep you 🙏
@@KrissiCreates we are in this together. WOW almost the same amount of time for us. Holidays are hard but you just have to take it small steps and think of the memories....
@@lindaschumacher6282 Yes we are together !!! I don't think it's a coincidence that we are on such a close path. God brought us here to lift each other up and support each other. Holidays are hard, but as you said we have our memories. That is something that can not be taken away from us. I'm also so thankful for photo's I have of my Husband and family.
As someone who lives in Alabama. Stuffing and dressing are TOTALLY different. Stuffing has sage and made with toasted bread, people up north eat stuffing- like out of the box. In the south we eat cornbread dressing which is cornbread, chicken broth, boiled eggs, etc.
I am thankful for family. Turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie with whipped cream but love pecan pie as well, gotta have football games on the TV.
Christmas Tree 🎄 Tradition... every year we go to the Radde Christmas Tree Farm in Meridian, Tx on (Friday) the day after Thanksgiving. We pick our tree,, wreaths, and some ornaments special to us for tgis year, and then that night is for us to hang out, decorate, eat snacks, laugh and talk! Sadly, my kids are almost grown and out of the house... I can only pray they continue on our Tradition, start one of their own, or bring their families over to continue ours!
Yes, it is cold in South Dakota! We are use to it up here. We put up the tree after Thanksgiving, I call it dressing, favorite dessert is apple or pumpkin pie❤️. I'm so very grateful and thankful for all my family and friends I have in my life which are important to me. Especially this time of year also God 🙏🏻. It has been a rough year since we lost my son's grandparents beginning of this year in a terrible car accident. I'm forever thankful for God to get us thru this tough time with them being gone. Thank you Smiths! Yee Yee!
We always go cut our tree the day after Thanksgiving. Our lights are always up earlier but don’t go on until the day after Thanksgiving. I can do without mashed potatoes, but have to have squash. Pumpkin pie is my favorite dessert. Apple is a close second. Football on tv for sure! Don’t shop Black Friday in stores, online all the way! We always watch Christmas Vacation around this time too. I am so thankful every day for my family and our health. I am blessed!
Sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes and stuffing! Noticed the south likes to start Christmas decorations November 1. Totally not used to this but kind of like it. We can’t put our own lights on our house on our own anymore because the houses are so big out here. So we hired a company and they put on our outside lights the day before Thanksgiving. It’s for our granddaughter and little ones in our family. Still want a real tree but not sure how that works here in Georgetown. Haven’t seen any tree lots. Love your show! Truly a blessing ❤️
We put our decs up this year on Nov 1st as our daughter who lives in the USA was home, but won’t be here for Christmas, so today will be our Christmas and your thanksgiving
Ok…because I’m Canadian, already celebrated Thanksgiving … spent it camping with my love and a couple friends…had my first fried turkey it was the BEST! It’s called stuffing, but like Amber not the hugest fan except for my own which I add ground pork into. Mashed potato or sweet potato…mashed everytime! Favourite dessert…. Sweet potato pie topped with pecans and whipped cream! So thankful for our kids and grandkids, friends, good health and the memories of our parents who established the great foundation of family and traditions. Happy Thanksgiving Smith family ❤️
We decorate for Christmas the weekend before Thanksgiving. We used to be the ones on Friday after but when you have kids it’s so exciting to see them get excited so we do it a bit early now. Am all for sweet potato casserole I can do mashed all year but sweet for thanksgiving and my favorite dessert is pumpkin pie that’s something that you don’t eat all year and it’s just something a little bit special around the holidays to eat. And this year I’m thankful for my son who is seven who had the flu at the beginning of the week and then now I have it and he has done an excellent job at taking care of me and helping me while I’ve been sick and so we’ve had to miss out on Thanksgiving with our families this year because of everyone being sick and I’m thankful for my parents who have been watching my three year old daughter so I could get some rest. I hope y’all have had a wonderful thanksgiving!
I usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to put up the Christmas tree but this year I put it up a couple week's early. I wasn't going to put up a tree at all this year because I lost my husband in January and it's just not the same. But he bought me a Twinkly tree a couple years ago because he knew how much how I loved Christmas and he would want me to enjoy it. So I put it up early to enjoy it a little longer just for him. And the kids and grandkids love it. ❤❤❤
Happy Thanksgiving Smith Family! I will put my tree up this weekend and decorate for Christmas, my neighbor and I did decorate the outside last weekend only because she left for Thanksgiving week, and we have them set on a timer to come on. Love mashed potatoes, not really a stuffing girl, but my bonus mom made the best stuffing this year, her and my dad also smoked our turkey and it was so delicious. Favorite dessert is Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream. I’m so grateful for my family and friend! I’m grateful for the life that god has blessed me with and the job he opened the door for and the promotion he showed me the way to strive for and achieve
I'm thankful to have my momma. We brought her home on hospice back in May and a week after we brought her home I was told by the end of the week she would be gone. She is still here today and it's like she was never sick. GOD IS GOOD
So thankful for the light the Smith family continues to be! Pecan pie all the way. Sweet potatoes. Turkey and dressing!! Love ya’ll!! Hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving!!! ❤️
Oh yes London we are subscribed!! ❤️💕 we are so very thankful to our Lord for the air we breath, warmth, our loved ones, our health. Waking up each day. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!! We are so blessed! YeeYee!
Thankful that all 4 of my children were home for Thanksgiving along with their spouses and children. We serve ham, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, potatoes, fruit salad with marshmallows, wild rice hot dish with hamburger and bacon, corn, carrots, stuffing, jellied cranberries, pumpkin pie and apple pie.
