Weeeeeeeks of rain up here in Kamloops BC. We usually have forest fires all over already. I love your vids. You’re smart and give good info. Wish I could get your fertilizer up here. I just can’t get over this weather up here this year.

Thanks for your tips on watering and fertilizing. I had given up on trying to keep hanging baskets alive all summer on my West facing deck. The afternoon Kansas sun would just burn them up. I stumbled on one of your videos on Calibrachoa baskets and was motivated to give them a try. I ordered your fertilizer and the water meter you recommended. So far so good. I've been fertilizing once a week and I have been taking them down and protecting them from too much sun since we've been having 100 degree days. The blooming has slowed down, so I've taken a tip from this video that I can fertilizer them a couple of times a week.

Do I need to worry about burning my flowers if I fertilize more than once a week? Should I delute it? I love your fertilizer!!

No, you shouldn't need to worry as long as the dose is correct. You can fertilize a few times a week even if you want to push fast growth. The other option is a constant feed, where the dose is lower (like a half strength or less) and every time that you water the plants are getting fed.

What should I do with the opposite problem! It's been and will continue to be sweltering hot here-in the 100s. How do I keep my beautiful baskets of petunias from cooking?

You will have to water more often and be vigilant of their care in the heat. That's what we have to do in our greenhouses this time of year when it starts to really get hot. Our back greenhouses can easily go over 130 degrees and we are watering multiple times a day just to keep the soil moist.
