abraham arciga def is lol. If you don’t get out of your comfort zone a lil, it’ll be a journey to find your ppl. Like more than others lol but it’s chill. #smallerschoolsftw🤷🏿♀️
just want to say I appreciate your college videos because I will be a senior this year and I know that they will help me a lot so thank you for making them! love you and your channel!
As always great and timely content. You are a wealth of information. One of the things I have not heard you mention in any of your past videos is other colleges. Going to school in DC, I just happen to know that it is somewhat of a college town and I know that I have spent a small amount of time going to on campus parties at Howard and G’town and Maryland. Have you had the chance to venture out and away from campus at all ?
also at my university, we get put into a room with somebody, typically with the same major/degree, and with some similar interests... we straight up have to fill out an entire form like 9 months before first year starts...
I will be freshman undergrad next month and thank you for this video I’m glad I’ve doing a lot of these things already (commuting so not dorm stuff) especially ratemyprofessor cause some upperclassmen in my school didn’t even know what ratemyprofessor was🥴😂
I love this! Being a college student it's so fun to watch these types of videos! Subbed! I actually make college videos too and it's nice to come around to see other college youtubers too haha!
Eloah Makassi (I know you want him to respond but here’s a few things I wish I would have done that might be helpful for you as well, mainly if you want to go to college) start figuring out where you want to go to college if you don’t already know, find out stats about schools that could be a possibility and figure out what’s important to you for a school to have. navigating college applications and decisions is hard enough, but it’s worse if you barely know what you want to do/go also, college applications and scholarship essays hit you at the same time of a bunch of projects when you’re a senior, and it’s hard to come up with things to write about that make you unique and interesting to a college. come up a list of things that make you stand out, experiences that have shaped you, etc. that you can refer to. this sounds kind of cringey but it took me 2 months to finish the essay I submitted on my common app (mainly because I just couldn’t think of anything to write about) and it’s a huge part of your application. keep it in the back of your mind and seek out experiences like summer camps or something you’ve never done before while it’s summer. you can also find volunteering opportunities or leadership positions to do now that’ll beef up your application later. also keep in mind that you will have to talk to teachers a lot more when you’re a senior, mainly for recommendation letters. it’s a little awkward unless you keep in mind throughout the year that you’ll have to ask some of them about it, so be nice to them. it’s a good idea to figure out now how to send at least a semi-professional email to teachers (if you’re like me this is really hard. I despise emails.) but that’s just something to keep in mind while you’re in school. other than that... senior year isn’t that much different than junior year. find things and events that interest you over the summer, and step out of your comfort zone more. hope some of that is helpful
i didn’t find out about SAT subject tests until i was a senior and it was too late. It ended up totally fine but would’ve been nice to have those on my applications, so deal with those soon
