I'm guilty of doing these two things myself - begging and pleading during the damage control mode and putting down the rebound. Believe me, these things do not help.

How do you know when it’s okay to say all your feelings, talking about a future etc? Me and my ex have great interactions, we spend good time together. I feel that we connect emotionally. She calls me basically everyday. However, we’re under the label of “friends”. I haven’t broached the topic of getting back together as I did seven months ago and she was highly emotionally reactive, still very hurt and angry, crying etc. I do tell her I miss her sometimes and love her. She sometimes says I miss you back. She did randomly send me “I love you” one day while we where texting in our convo but she quickly unsent it lol. I told her that even though she unsent it, I love her too. She didn’t negatively or anything. We even had a great convo where she brought up how she watched a video and how having a family one day is the most important thing. I told her I agreed and totally agreed and said I wish I wasn’t focused on all the wrong things in the past when we where together. (I just wanted to part a lot and not really be fully committed to our future). I felt is connect nicely in this conversation. But she is still stuck to the rebound. Even though she’s expressed red flags about her and seems to still be having the same problems as they had extremely early on. Should I broach the topic of how I feel about her again? What should I do?
Hi Clay! Would appreciate if you could do a video on no contact at work. I was in a relationship with a colleague for about a year but he monkey branched to someone new (which I found out about after snooping into his phone) and left me out in the cold. I still have to see him at work almost everyday and I dont know if I should ignore him or I should be friendly with him. Also I heard that he’s serious about her and have moved in together. I even heard from another colleague that he plans to marry her soon. We broke up just last December, it seems like they’re fast forwarding their relationship but I dont know for sure. Is it a rebound or is it really serious? I’m so heartbroken and devastated.

If it makes you feel any better to connect with someone. I work with my ex and she monkey branched with me from her ex, then 6 months later she monkey branched back to him. They moved in together after a month, and plan on leaving the state together with no family or friends there in about 5 months. I’ve been devastated and the new bf (her ex) took her phone and messaged me he was blocking me from her phone. I’m still unblocked but blocked on cell. So we chat at work and are friendly, she is still curious about me but hasn’t made any effort to rekindle things between us. My solution is that I hit the gym, found a new job, and it’s in a different city so I’ll be moving. It’s best to leave them be with their choice and if you two had a good enough connection then they’ll be back. If not, then that probably means you felt more than they did and you’ll find someone else. But time is the biggest teller. Try to be your best at work, but understand this person is a coworker again and they have to make the effort to get YOU back. Not the other way around. Stay strong, I know it hurts. I’m there
My ex cheated I was willing to work on relationship now I find his with the girl he cheated me with the problem was ex not me I was good to him but when it comes to other people he can never say no so I’ve walked away I feel really good I can now focus on myself I will never compromise for anyone
Hi guys. I need a bit of help in my situation. If anyone has some idea what’s going on please enlighten me 😅. Me and my ex broke up 2 months ago. We broke up because I left shortly away, and he couldn’t hold up. We were extremely close. Literally, and he never left my side while my life was crumbling (again literally) a lot of shit stuff happened and he never backed down, then we broke up. 5 days later he was with new girl. She is problem-less. Literally. Everything is on the place and perfect. Yet we never stopped talking. We slowed down for little, then picked up. We talk for hours on the phone, and text nonstop. Recently we got little physical. And he cheated on her. Then he pulled back, but once again everything resumed. Now. He says that he really wants this new chick. And she makes him feel amazing, and dose not know why he can’t let me go or comes back. He said he thinks it was because of habit. I explained how habit works, and that this is not habit. He said that it’s possible. What the heck am I supposed to do here to clear all this. We act like couple without being one and he has the balls to come and say he wants her and wants us to be “just friends” even tho HE fails at that. If someone has any opinion I welcome it cuz I’m fucking lost
Update ? I’m after my woman back it’s been 5 month so far it’s not looking great tbh 😂 she monkey branched I have my own house too but he has a better job she swears it’s not the money, I made mistakes and corrected them but I can only try, we got kids I never don’t want not to fight for family
What if you suspect that your ex is narcissistic and that the rebound is his new supply? He appears randomly out of nowhere multiple times and then goes hot and cold, which makes me think he’s hoovering and not genuine about getting back together at all
I would NEVER take an ex back knowing he slept with someone else. I could never TRUST him again, plus, I don't know WHO the person is or what their hygiene may be. Once you cheat, it's OVER!
My ex, after a 5 year engagement was younger than me by 7 years, but he said it didn't bother him at all. I don't believe it bcse his rebound is much younger than him. I was good to him, and he won't forget me. Your ex won't forget you either. I would never take him back. Who knows what they have? NEVER will I take him back! Good luck to you..💞
@jannlewandowski5540 they always think the grass is greener. It never is. I want him back tho. As after a year I can't move on and don't want to.things are moving that way .just got to keep waiting

My ex Broke up with me, she cared for me and was nice to me at the beginning, then I begged and got no where and she was getting angry, came across couch channel and it helped save me and I went no contact. My ex reached out after one month of no contact but not to get back but to deliberately hurt me by telling me she has found someone else and that she hates me and that she never loved me. Then she blocked me everywhere and told me not to ever contact her, even though I had not contacted her for over a month and it was her contacting me. She has also made fake accounts on social media to embarrass me. She is deliberately going out of her way to hurt me, she is in a rebound but I can’t understand why she is trying to hurt me, I am already emotionally devastated.Couch why has no contact triggered this hattered in my ex and so much animosity towards me?
hi couch just to update you, I am feeling much better day by day, in the beginning I blamed myself for the breakup but now I look back I was a really good boyfriend and my ex is still smear campaigning me, telling everyone including my family that I am crazy, that she never loved me and I can’t understand why she is doing this, she is in rebound relationship, why can’t she just move on with her life and be happy with her new boyfriend and leave me alone. It’s painful and upsetting because she is telling everyone including my family intimate things between us and when I hear the things she is saying behind my back really hurts me. I have decided to go indefinite no contact but hearing these things it’s really hard because I want to contact her and tell her to stop 🛑 ✋ hurting me, I know things about her intimate stuff, pictures etc I don’t tell no one because it was between me and her. She is now really getting on my nerves 😬. She was okay before I went no contact, when I went no contact on her she went crazy. One friend told me she is regretting her decision and why she is acting out. What should I do, I don’t want to break no contact, I don’t want to talk to her, because even if I do I will only swear at her and tell her to move on with her life and leave me alone. She has a new boyfriend she is telling everyone she loves this new boyfriend and that he is the love of her life, if that’s the case why continue attacking me be happy with your new boyfriend and move on. Really frustrated.
