A somewhat common complaint for aggregators such as PayPal is the freezing or holding back of merchant funds. This can occur because of the difference between an aggregator and a merchant account provider. Although it's not entirely down to a single criteria, in some cases it can boil down to the differences between how accounts are onboarded. (Traditional merchant account providers are more difficult to get started with, but in some cases may have less issues once your start processing).
