I love a good educational hikes and tours! I live around so much nature and these are some great tips to remember!! What an amazing tour, your guild is very educationed on the plants around the area!
This was really good! You get to explore and learn as you go. I love that you get to learn about poison Ivy which is important. And I loved that the guide taught you which items were safe for you to take home or not. I have never done this and didn’t even know something like this existed! I want to go food foraging now!
I have learned a lot from this video. Forage and mushrooms are something that I have not bumped into. But this makes me get interested to learn about this. Thank you for sharing this to us.
It truly is amazing that the plants work such wonders. The kudzu root that fights covid! And all those different types of mushrooms. Love getting back to nature.
Ashville looks like a very diverse city. We would really like to go spend sometime exploring all the cool areas. Especially foraging as in this video. Being in nature is so important and learning from it and about it is a great way to increase appreciation and enjoy all nature and foliage has to offer.
Incredible about the kudzo plant! I think we had these growing in our yard when I was growing up. Who would have thought that it would have such benifits?!
Love nature adventures! The mushrooms looks so unique and those Birch tree leaves looks interesting to taste. Thank you for sharing us those findings in the wild. Dont have any idea how to classify mushrooms if I find them. Love learning different things. What a great activity and adventure 🤗
I would be super - interested in doing a tour like this! At the moment we are learning about foraging for mushrooms, but we would love to learn about any edible and medicinal plants. The guides are certainly very knowledgeable 🌿☘️ My husband's favourite saying is 'All mushrooms are edible, some only once' 😂
Watching this video made me realize how beautiful nature can be, I do recognize the ground ivy leave we use to eat that while we were young, is the British Government aware of the kudzu plant🙆. Very educative video I have learned alot, thanks for sharing
Wonderful! So glad you were able to learn something in this video :) We have ground ivy in our back yard and have been picking some to add to our salads! :)
Plantain leaves were the bandaids of my childhood. If we bruised our knees or anything else, we would just use a patch of plantain leaves, because what if you go home for help and the won't let you out again? :)) Actually it helps stop bleeding too.
I love this visual into your chldhood! That is so cool! I had an idea you've have good info to add to the comments since you're so out-doorsy! I told my daughter about your comment about plantain leaves making good bandaids. she thought it was cool too! :)
I had no idea about the Kudzu..🤯.. I love the part of the video with y'all picking mushrooms. It reminded me of being a kid, playing in the woods. A quick joke. Why does the Mushroom always get invited to the parties, cause he's a Fun Guy.....lol
oh wow! I had no idea kudzu was could help fight covid! That's crazy! I thought it was just an annoying plant. Now I want to take this tour so I can learn cool stuff like that. I feel so out of touch with what nature can do.
