We were looking forward to Trieste, on the Adriatic coast of Italy, to shoot beautiful shots on a sunny day. But the weather did not cooperate and it was cloudy and raining for three whole days. So we solved it our way.

HOW WE TRAVELED
From the Czech Republic to Italy, we used the night long-distance bus line from Olomouc to Vienna and then from Vienna to Trieste. A one-way ticket cost 1323 CZK/person.
HOW WE ACCOMMODATED
We pre-booked shared accommodation in a hostel in the center of Trieste. In a room for 12 people, with a shared bathroom, it cost us €19.50/person/night.
WHAT WE LIKED
We did not give up and focused more on the interior spaces. It was nice in the museum of the fortress Civico museo del Castello di San Giusto. We were also impressed by the huge bells on the bell tower of the Cattedrale di San Giusto, which stands very close to the San Guisto fortress. And most of all, we enjoyed the pizzerias and cafes with excellent coffee, which we like everywhere, but Trieste probably tasted the best so far.
The largest square in Europe overlooking the sea Piazza Unita d'Italia (Square of the Unity of Italy); Canal Grande (Grand Canal extending into the streets of the city); lots of churches, museums, picturesque alleys and wide and busy streets, and above all, lots of nice people.
