woo hoo! i made it into the video! i’m the dude in the yellow shirt and black hat. i’m at 3:00 and 3:52 our tour went to a different animal exhibit, we got to see monkeys sloths and birds, after we went to little french key and that was a lot of fun, it looks like you guys had a good time as well!
We did the same tour only with Real Deal Roatan Tours, only company we use when visiting Roatan! Out of all the tours I ever took while cruising that was by far my favorite! Was Always on my Bucket List to hold sloth, they so cute feel like holding real baby, did I mention my favorite animal. Glad you enjoyed it...Also love the little port their for shopping got myself handcrafted wooden boxes.
When I went to Roatan we did a private tour, it's absolutely amazing!! Discover the island, the beaches, and the food!! Do your research and find a great company like this one and you will not regret it!
I've done private tours in Dominica and in St. Kitts and they were probably the best excursions I've experienced! I feel like I learned more about the local culture, history and people and never felt rushed or crowded. Also, the Coke is so much better in the Caribbean than in the states, the cane sugar makes a huge difference! I had one when I was in Curaçao.
... that fish looked great and I am not so fond of fish ... you both looked to be in your element as well ... hope you continue to travel & explore ...just take us with you ...
Wow.... had I to re-watch this after reading about the recent death here. Absolutely heart breaking. I thought it was the same platform. Thank Goodness for Jason and his hesitation along with your encouragement to be safe and cautious. Obviously this platform will be removed at this point, but it clearly should have been long before this video was even made.
What a fun filled relaxing day with some awesome people. Michelle and I love you all! Wish we could’ve been there but so glad you all had an amazing time 🤙🏼
We did a similar tour there and loved it. That's the beach we were at. Our driver warned us about the never-ending vendors trying to sell things. We were also warned about the massage ones, because someones they have sticky fingers and may steel your wallet. He said if we sat in the second row of lounge chairs, we wouldn't be bothered as much. He was right. Also pretend to be asleep. I wasn't sure if we would like Roatan, but the sloths and the beach were amazing. The Carnival beach at the pier was far too crowded, so we wanted to try a private tour on our second time there.
Thanks for the walk to meet up for a private tour. I want to take a tour, but the explanation of the meeting place was slightly confusing and started sounding like I was taking my own self-guiding tour of the island. LOL. They should use your video as a visual tool. Keep sharing your experiences
Thank goodness Jason did not jump from the high deck. I would not even have jumped from the lower one. You don't know what is below with rocks or how deep it is. Looks like an amazing tour BTW. The full monty of Roaton.
The video was very good.i enjoy all of your videos..keep them coming....the food you pronounced "plan-tains" Is pronounced plan-tans.."i" silent and yes..plantanos in Spanish. Native food on all islands is very delicious..fresh..and the people so respectful and pleasant..so wish I could have been there..especially nxt wk for my 80th and yes that's actually me..now..God is good. Enjoy seeing your videos of all of your excursions land and sea. God bless you..thank you.
I love watching your videos. We are going to Roatan, Cozumel and Costa Maya end of this month. Doing the same Roatan tour. And paradise beach because of your videos! Thank you and I hope to run into you guys on a future cruise :)
My hubby jumped off the top ledge with some of the local boys!!! He said it was awesome!! And yes those locals that live there that try to sell all their trinkets gets to be a bit too much, they asked more there than some of the other destinations we’ve been too.
Last time we were in Roatan you were able to take a taxi down the hill for about $2 per person. When we returned the tour operator dropped us off in side the port
Absolutely loved this Vlog so much to see and do, your driver is so cool taking you where you want to go and for as long as you want. The chocolate shop was very interesting.
We love you guys its really the next best thing to being there when you take us with you, I can't wait. We go on the Mardi Gras end of oct, first cruise since May of 2019 . I'm starting to get excited since I saw you guys here, thanks for what you do!
Alisa, I noticed your ponytail safari hat in the last episode & immediately ordered one! Lol now I can finally wear something besides a ball cap on excursions & in the pool! Yay! Thanks!!
I swear!!! I KNEW that Jason would think a Plantain tasted like a potato!!! I will make him some sweet with butter and brown sugar and he won't say potato! LOL My Mom was raised in Panama and cooked us Plantains. However, Jason is right, they are much like a potato. Luv Yuns!!!! Please DO know that just because people don't always comment or like, doesn't mean there are not people that have watched for a long time and love y'all. Great Job!!! So Happy With the RV change in the Channel. I admit I stopped watching for a bit, But I'm Back and I love it!!!! Thanks...wes&jennifer
Well you got me on the plantains... Thank you for coming back and we appreciate your loyalty! Hope we can keep you for the longhaul :) Now I need some of those brown sugar and butter plantains!
All your videos are fantastic but this one was a specially awe-inspiring. Absolutely loved everything you did. I definitely want to see the sloths. Jason, did you try any of the rum cigars?
Hi Alisa & Jason, Such a fun day with friends. Sloths are so cute and sweet 😍❤️ Can’t wait for your next vlog. Hope you and your family are safe from Hurricane Ida.
6;00 a.m., sipping coffee, watching your videos. Ahhh, life is good. I will be calling you soon to book a cruise for December. This trip y'all took looks amazing.
I am wondering where you leave your valuables… like your wallet, IDs, cameras, and even the drone when you go swimming in the various ports. That’s always a worry of mine of where to put them.
For phones, we take the waterproof covers (some are better than others). For pictures a GoPro. If you need cash a waterproof money case like the ones you get in a water park.
One of the best and informative vlogs I've seen! Congratulations on a job well done. We are scheduled to visit Roatan the first week of December, and now I really can't wait!!
You have probably heard about the cruiser who jumped or dove off the top of the platform March 15, 2023 and passed away. When I heard all I could think was how I wished he had seen your vlog. Thank you for warning others.
Last time we went to Roatan did a private tour in morning that wasn't great but yours looked.wonderful and did swimming with dolphins in afternoon which was amazing. We will have to see if they have any wheelchair accessible tours with the sloths for sure.
Whelp, y’all’ve done it again. I didn’t really want to cruise, but your videos made me wanna. Then I didn’t want to do anything in the ports but go to the beach, but now this video makes me wanna take this tour!😄👍🏽
I always thought Roatan would be one of those ports I would skip and spend the day on the ship, but it looks soo chill, naturally beautiful, and interesting.
Happy to have found this video, will do the same in Roatan when will be on our cruise. How much do you tip your driver after the tour? It seems to be so nice with you!!
What a fun day! We did a very similar day a few cruises back. Al ate iguana at that same resteraunt! We go back to Roatan in October and I def want to hold the sloths again!!
we had a private tour in Roatan also, we showed up early and they went ahead and took us early. Just my bestie and I. We held the sloths also. So cool. Definitely will do the private tours again. We didn't even see the stairs, we ended up taking a taxi up the hill...lol!
Right…its pure cane sugar and we realized that its just been a long timer since we’ve had one and we couldn’t remember it tasting like that. It tasted different from any other Mexican (pure can sugar) coke we’ve ever had is what we meant..lol!
Nice video. Interesting that the plantains tasted like potatoes. I am wondering how it was prepared. Maybe because it was not as ripe. That fish looked delish. Love me some snapper. Anyway as usual it has been fun following along. Kudos to you both for always supporting local. That is awesome
