Psychonaut this man is known world class psychologist how make millions of dollars each , and help a lot of people on personal level ,, he suffers from chronic depression which he is very open about .. that doesn’t make him a clown , no one is perfect in this life , and at least he’s trying... now tell me what the hell did you do with your life ?

Psychonaut Him suffering from chronic depression has nothing to do with his message. His message has touched and helped possibly millions of people who are trying to sort their lives out. His lectures and books have been watched and read by millions around the world and have also changed the course of the lives of millions around the world. And then you come and call him a clown? I’m not here to defend the man cause to be honest his work speaks of itself so I’m not gonna go deeper into that. But I’m just baffled that after this man has dedicated almost all his life for the betterment of humanity some people like you are so filled with hate that the moment the man slips up they call him a clown. That’s very sad man I hope you really reevaluate the way you speak about people in general and I hope you could use your words in a way that is beneficial rather than degrading to anyone suffering from an actual problem.

Psychonaut First of all, it's a fallacy to conclude that because he has a pharmaceutical dependence that the things he says are invalid. Second, just because a field is a soft science doesn't mean it has no value. If you actually listen to what he says, much of it is self-evident, particularly in this video. You're not arguing against anything he says, you've just decided that if a person is ever overwhelmed by a weakness, they are worthless.

Thuy Nguyen: man does not live by air alone, but by the God's truth. As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said, "there are none more enslaved, than those who falsely think they're free." But since Peterson is employed licensed and accredited by the state, he won't address that. Psychology is the SCIENCE of validating the state oligarchy by Gaslighting the individual. He is just a political puppet, who engages in Political Abuse of Psychiatry to validate its power, while maintaining the delusion of liberty and democracy under government-dictated ultimatums called "elections."

This is pretty much what my parents said about success to me growing up, repeatedly, endlessly. It became like background noise. Maybe it's because I'm getting older or Dr. Peterson's knack for clarity (likely both) but somehow I can hear and believe when he says it. Please don't think this is to criticize my folks, lord knows they tried and still do...

@naryainc

@abcd3625 My instinct is not to mock, but I feel really sad too. I feel sad that anyone has to grasp at Peterson as some father figure which he clearly isn't. He will never speak to most of his audience in person, never really give them time or attention, yet he is at the tip of their tongue as "the father" they never had. Wonder what their actual fathers feel about their sons and their sad attachment to Peterson. Maybe they should instead fix their relationship to their own father and give him a chance. Teach him to be a better father, a better role model.
@hajismind557

naryainc you and abc should vent your irrational beliefs to councillors that can show you why you think that! Psycho you’re doing well take information from a pool of good individuals to avoid major bias! Jordan Peterson is just a guy who has studied and examined a lot. Yeah you might think he has a cult behind him and if that’s true I’m happy someone’s sticking up against the other growing cults. I wouldn’t even think cult is a appropriate word in this case and I would really suggest you read up on cults in history very deeply before throwing around such a vulgar term
@stvb2123
@stvb2123 3 года назад
It's ok. There will always be people who will want to mock an idea/way of thinking, or those who don't agree/believe. It doesn't diminish what is said [in this case what Peterson is teaching] & how those of us who do find value in what he says will use it. I also don't think people should confuse the wishing for good/ sage advice [that most people would wish to have known earlier] with wanting a tight/tighter relationship with a parent- not necessarily the same thing at all. There's so much more to a 'father figure/ relationship' than sound advice.

@Fred26498
@Fred26498 4 года назад
@Psychonaut it's actually not that logic, because to be a coach you don't have to be able to do something better, but you have to know how to do something better. Otherwise you wouldn't be coaching, you'd be acting instead. Coaches in sports for example aren't better than their players, they are usually worse but they know how to do it better. Same goes for doctors they know how to be live healthy does it mean they usually do? No. Also you could say even before Dr. Peterson gained public attention he was pretty successful already. He wasn't able to cope with the sudden attention very well, which doesn't devalue his life and isn't very uncommon either if you look at drug use across celebrities.

@@archivedaccount2049 The key to that is "in flow." Even when you know a whole lot about a great many things, you don't start to look really SMART until you can connect all those things together and move between them seamlessly. I had a huge issue with that in my youth until it "clicked" for me that I had to connect things together in a sort of loose mental network. Then I went from looking crazy to looking smart, almost overnight, and tbh after 20+ years I am still not used to it and think I just look crazy all the time. I still expect everyone to respond to me the same way they did when I was 20 and didn't know squat about squat.

Word of advice as a 38 year old. Be VERY WARY of wasting your time trying to find s white girl to marry. They'll wasye YEARS of your life and few intend on staying, some even calculating the divorce money they'd get around the time you move in together. Seriously. Try anything but white girls otherwise you'll end up 38 and still single. Earning big money and owning a house and a few cars MEANS NOTHING if you get the sense you're never going to have kids.

Make a schedule and set it up so you enjoy the activities that are set. Very powerful Creating a prison for yourself out of guilt and desire to change never lasts very long from experience. Another good one is recognizing moments of temptation, stepping back and embody the feeling present, really makes it seem small and easier to overcome.
