It's the dreaded message back after you send your pricing to a client: "You're too expensive." So what do you do? Reply with a defensive or snarky comment back? Do you lower your prices to get the sale?
In this video I hope you'll gain some great insights on how to respond when a client says that you're too expensive. The most important thing to remember here is to value what you have to offer and showcase the Experience above all else.

My ultimate goal is to leave the best taste in my potential clients mouth. I truly believe that the way I/we respond when the moments don’t go as planned is when the character of our company and us as owners shines through. They may not use me, but I would like them to know I care about them and their vision. I also want them to speak of my company in a good way. I help to make a moment a memory and I want their experience to increase their chances of using me at some point more likely. Great post. Leading with empathy has never steered me wrong. Thank you.

As always, great stuff Nicole. ❤ On a side note, it’s so funny looking back, when were new and used to charge half of what we do now, there we still people who thought were were expensive. I believe we can also show the value of our services with the quality of content that they see on our socials and the quality of our website. Those have helped so much with attracting clients who don’t question our pricing. But obv. there are still those that do. And no matter how we empathize or customize, they’re still not happy. Those are clearly not our clients.

Something that I have used a bunch of times for public/school/company events was to have my client to explore sponsorships. They can usually find a parent or company willing to cover the expense in exchange for the company logo on the photo strip or a sign at the booth.

Exactly! Great tip. I’ve done this several times as well and should’ve mentioned that in the video! At the end of the day it’s all about being proactive and willing to help the client achieve their goals!

I always want to work with people as long as they are reasonable. Usually we end up doing less hours of coverage.
