What To Do When Your Horse Gets Out Of Control?

Losing control of a horse can be scary. If we are not careful, we could end up causing the out of control behavior (bucking, bolting, rearing, etc) to get worse. So what should you do at the moment when this is happening? I‘m going to go over a couple of ways that a horse can be brought back down and also how to prevent this from happening. The one thing that most people are missing is “preventative maintenance”. Horses don’t just do these things, no matter how it may seem.
Basically, it’s all about the mindset of your horse. A horse that loses control is not very mentally sound. When you know and understand these things, it puts you in a position where you know how to truly start helping your horse overcome these issues. Now because of this, I have developed a list that will tell you if your horse is where he needs to be mentally.
Grab my mental soundness checklist here to see if your horse checks off all the boxes: sp.carsonjames...

I have been watching horse videos since early 2015, from the thousands I have watched, this may be one of the best explanations that I have heard

So what I’m getting from this is that a perfect balance is needed. Meaning, not too much of an extreme,on over bending the horses nose. Try to read your horse and achieve what’s needed. But don’t over exaggerate when in the moment. Or when stressing out 🤔! Dear Carson, this is one of my favorite videos of many;that I love,,, Thank You! You are Awesome! Stay You!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🐴🤠😎

You are talking directly to me. I lack confidence and my horse is responding to it. I'm just not a natural, and I am used to being good at most things almost immediately. Horses are hard.

It really begins with groundwork. If you can't reliably influence your horses feet while you're on the ground, don't ever expect that control to come when you're on their back. Whether your horse is reliably saddle trained or not, don't get on until you can handle him/her smoothly on the ground.

Thank you. I’m currently working my mare through this phase of being completely fine for a while and then out of nowhere she will plant her front quarters and stop suddenly and then I go off her back and onto mine. She does this out of nowhere and with no warning.

If your horse is bolting or bucking it needs more work before you get in the saddle it needs more pen work, easy fix done.

@@Angeliccookethere are wonderful trainers in the US and Canada that follow the same techniques. They all go by what the old masters developed many years ago. They can’t reinvent the wheel.

I"m sorry if you have been riding for 3 years on your horse the horse is comfortable with you above his or her head. if it takes 3 years to get a horse to blow up it is not because you are above the horse. LMAO, there must be another reason for the blowup.
