Thank you for this video. I’ll use it for my notebook note taking. I don’t write in my bibles. I’m trying see if I’m even bold enough to highlight. Your last video about highlighting was such an amazing concept, it made me want to high light my Bible. I don’t write, highlight, sticky notes, or put tabs on my Bibles. I have 5 bibles with 5 different translations(CSB, ESV, NKJV, NIV, and NLT) so I love this idea of different note taking. Can’t wait to see the next video in this series.
I totally know how you feel regarding feeling reluctant to mark them up! Have you considered getting a cheap budget Bible to dip your toe into doing so before committing to your existing Bibles? Might be a good way to break the ice and see how you like it!
So many great ideas. I really appreciate that you broke each idea down into simpler examples that don’t come across intimidating for anyone who’s just beginning to study God’s word. I’m not a sticky note person either. I prefer to use a traveler’s notebook with a few different inserts that I categorize and use in different ways. I have a number of Bible. Study Bibles, different translations that I use as reference, as well as a reading Bible. And then I have one Bible that I put notes and other information in so all my notes are in one place but I don't have to sort through them when i'm reading or studying. Another thing I do is I have a notebook that I can just put my thoughts on a topic, give cross references really study out something and write everything down. And in that notebook each topic has a reference number that I can put into my Bible at that verse. So that I know I have further notes in a separate notebook.

I don't have many myself, one from 1870s, local translation from 1997 and few ones, one for travel and another i got also for travel, being weird i like reading bible on long waits. One thing i realized, is that all my bibles are from very different eras and when I compared them, the references are very different in old book and the new versions and as i can't use the old bible for daily read, i decided that i am at least gonna try putting my 2 favorite reference bibles next to it and go through the old one and transfer the old references to my new reference bible if they are different from the new ones. It started to intrigue me one day, how much it has changed in past 150 years, so I figured it would be interesting little sideproject , aching to reading the bible in a year. Also because then i can search this further without having to constantly use the fragile bible to do so.
Oh that's so interesting sis, thank you for sharing that! Sounds like a fun project too and good idea to get all the info out of the fragile one to reduce it's usage. I have a handful of antiques/vintage Bibles that are purely for collection and purposes only. But I gotta say, I loveeee the thick paper in the 1850s one I have 😍 They definitely don't make them like that anymore! 😂

I think I will be using the cross reference and comfort ideas , comfort for my mum who recently had 2 strokes and is finding life a challenge, she has always had such a strong faith but is struggling now so I think this would be a great idea to encourage and remind her of Gods love , the cross reference is an idea I find interesting , thank you for a lovely video 😊

Some great ideas. I’ve only written in two Bibles that were designed for that purpose, although in different ways. My main writing/study Bible is my Inspire Praise and I have no really system, I just gave myself permission to write whatever I wanted that meant something to me, or questions etc I had, which I’ve since managed to find answers to through God’s word. It is not neat or tidy that is for sure! I can’t bring myself to mark up my other Bibles though. 😊
Haha I know what you mean; there's only a handful of Bibles that I would even consider writing in 🙈 But many are braver than us lol so hopefully it gives people ideas for writing in them!

Wonderful ideas! I have many Bibles, in different translations I use for comparison when reading and studying. I believe I have used all of those methods at various times. Can’t wait for part three.
