I’m with you! Day 4 on Trulicity. Today so far is the first day of not vomiting yet. One scrambled egg at 8:30am no fat Greek yogurt w/12 oz of protein & a banana at 12:45pm. Just trying to figure out what I can eat for dinner. Thank goodness for UTube bc no guidance from my doctor.

I've been on Ozempic since mid-May. I, too, was given no advice from my Doctor. I am grateful for sites like this one--that's where I've been getting all of my information from. I've had some side effects, but, eating protein does help. I have not yet weighed myself. My follow up with my Doctor is next week. I have seen/felt a difference with how my clothes feel. Best to All.

Hello, I am glad I found you, I needed someone who I can relate to and someone who really understands. I started Ozempic again after several years. My first time with Ozempic was not good. No weight loss, just constipation. So wth prayer and a new prescription for Ozempic and a better understanding of the medication I am going to give another try. I am a T2D. This is my week 1 Ozempic!!❤❤❤

I found your video today. I’m on 0.25 Ozempic. I eat a plain romaine salad for breakfast, hard raw veggies for lunch(celery with cheese whiz, 1/2 English cucumber, 8 baby carrots and 3-4 radishes). Then soup for dinner. This keeps my blood sugar at around 7 all day and I have clear thinking.

I wave started having some GERD. Acidic burps while sleeping. Basically heartburn. I recommend staying away from spicey food. Eat kind of bland protein. Not spicey meatballs. If it becomes a problem take some OTC heartburn meds and change up what caused it. Food stays on the stomach longer. Don't eat before bed. Get the majority of your protein in the morning.

Hi mila. Oh wow, just found you What a find! I just started ozempic 2 weeks now. And having some side effects. And needed a coach/mentor. I’m pretty good with what I’m eating for diabetes but needed help while starting the ozempic. It’s challenging also because I have food allergies. Snd pollen ragweed allergies which cause vascular migraines. I’m having some nausea gas etc. trying to get the food diet I’m eating right. Some fatigue this second week. I was against taking the ozempic knowing there are some side effects. But willing to try. Because I’m fighting 25 30 lbs. to lose. I’ve lost 20 and kept it off. A gain of 50 when my dad passed 16 years ago while in menopause. I’m 66 now. You are a bright light, and a beacon for me. I have never gone to a support group since being on insulin 1 year ago. And I need someone to help guide me besides my wonderful endocrinologist. My sister is a nutritionist so I’ve gone to her for the basics. I eat fairly well all what you have talked about. Occasionally eating the higher sugar and fats. But I needed the help while taking ozempic and just found you tonight. Woke up at 3 am. I’m getting better sleep consistently and trying to drink the right amount of water. I’m also starting to walk more and will be swimming. It’s the amount I’m working on while adjusting to the ozempic. So I’m not nauseous tired shaky or fatigued. And have some headaches the first 2/3 days after the injection. I was on 0.25 first week and now took 0.5 The 2nd and 3rd week. I also take 32 insulin (long lasting) every night and 1 500 mg metformin once a day (long lasting) I will get the app and continue to watch your videos. You are a very kind soft spoken woman, that explains everything so perfectly. Thanks for listening. And by the way, love your name!

I don't have diabetes, but I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes last year. During the spring, I used diet and exercise to drop out of the pre-diabetic range in 6 months. But my weight loss plateaued while still in the obese zone, and my triglycerides and LDL remained high. As usually, my BP was high at the doctor's office, but was fine for my at home readings. I was told to keep doing what I was doing, but I'm not feeling confident. My next physical is in January, and I will be talking about Wegovy with my primary care doctor if my weight, LDL, and triglycerides remain high. Just a really long introduction to say thank you for the information you provide!

Thank you so much for sharing, Mary! I know that it can be hard, and I'm really proud of you for taking those big steps. There's nothing wrong with talking about GLP-1 agonists with your doc. I am struggling with how to bring down high glucose at the time it’s happening and also what to do to bring up a low glucose reading. I am exactly like you with late onset autoimmune adult diabetes only I am 66 and have been diabetic for only 3 years…thank you Mila
@TheHangryWoman
@TheHangryWoman 11 месяцев назад
I know that struggle, and I'm so sorry you're going through it. If you're on insulin, you may talk with your doctor about adjusting mealtime doses to help with highs. Also ask them to explain pre-bolusing (which can be helpful to getting ahead of the high). With lows, full sugar is what brings them up. Roughly 15g of carbs every 15 minutes while you're watching your glucose. Things like sugary candy, a full sugar soda, honey, or glucose tablets can be helpful in this instance. Quick acting carbs is the goal for for hypoglycemia. Hope this helps, and good luck!

New Subscriber! I just completed a week of Alternate Day Fasting while taking Ozempic. What are your thoughts on IF and Alternate Day Fasting?
@TheHangryWoman
@TheHangryWoman 11 месяцев назад
Thanks for subscribing and for being here. I think IF and Alternate Day Fasting are effective in the short term, but I don't think they're sustainable, long-term solutions. For some, they can lead to binging behaviors, or guilt around eating. My approach is around consistent meals and snacks, and adding more plant-based sources. It helps keep you satisfied, and blood sugars balanced!

I took it for 5 weeks and lost about 20 pound. Overall the negative side effects were minimal in my case, other than the constipation and occasional nausea. Drinking alcohol also made me sick. I stopped taking it because I had some friends visiting and knew we’d be eating/drinking a bunch and I didn’t want to miss out, but have had trouble bringing myself back to using it. However, in the process I taught myself some calorie control measures so I’ve maintained the weight loss. My goal is to lose 30 more pounds so I think I will go back on for another couple months to speed up the process.

I have absolutely no desire to eat most foods available to me. Eggs, dairy, and meat make me feel sick. The days all I have available are celery or apples I just don't eat. Cooking food isn't really an option right now so it has to be readily edible. Groceries have to be under $50 a month. Starting to feel depressed at how restrictive it is. Before I would eat cereal, and sandwiches more but those are both out now.😢

@TheHangryWoman
@TheHangryWoman 6 месяцев назад
The thing is, people don't know this. And they'll take Ozempic thinking they can still eat high carb, calorie dense foods and still get the drastic results they're aiming for. I think this needs to be stated still. BUT, not everyone can easily lose weight without Ozempic. Ozempic helps very much with insulin sensitivity, blood sugar balance, and slowing digestion.

I do not eat veggies so with no meat I am left with freaking bread to eat. yeah we know what bread does. In 8 weeks I lost 15 pounds but gained some back already. I have to eat a lot of high fiber like oats cause Ozempic pretty much stopped my intestines. Going to the bathroom from every day to 1 time a week is not fun at all! So me and oats are good friends. I am about to only eat oats. I can't eat nuts either. Funny someone who barely eats to begin with is overweight and now fighting to lose it.

People talk about the risks a lot without the talking about the benefits. There is a risk to any medication out on the market. It doesn’t mean that it happens to a majority of patients.
