What To Expect After An Autism Diagnosis 

Even though I had an autistic brother growing up, he was not offered the same help as what there is widely available now, so i was extremely clueless as to any of the next steps with my son. Even though we had an Early Interventionist obviously, they can be overwhelmed with their caseload sometimes and I think that happened with us and we did not have the same advice, information, and assistance with accessing new services as what I am now aware we should have been made aware of. I think it’s amazing that there Is a book out there for moms to navigate the complexities of all the services and doctors and assistance etc, etc. I will definitely be checking that out! ❤️

Very informative interview! It got me doing some research now! I am a stay at home mom right now, but a couple of years ago I used to work as an RBT in a clinic that worked with children with autism and loved my job. Now I have the opportunity to work/talk with some mothers that have children with autism through a ministry in my church and your videos have helped me review all the info I once learned. The moms seem to need a lot of help, and some of them have adolescents that have never received therapy of any kind. I am trying to give general advice using ABA, do you think this is okay? Even when I am not a BCBA or BCaBA, but only using my years of experience for those who cannot afford therapy? I am not writing out programs or anything, only talking about ABA and how it can help (we also do the religious part of the ministry, so is 50/50 in our meetings). Thank you for sharing this type of content.

My 3 1/2 year old just got diagnosed with autism lvl 2.. my 2 yr old is awaiting. (Also Have an 18 & 13 yr old. "Normal" development).. It is so individual. My 3yr has been reading since 2... but struggles with so much else with communications.
