This might be an awkward question but while on your menstrual cycle is it possible to really be able to clean yourself with only 4-6 minutes of a shower? I will mostly get mines the first week I’m there so I’m pretty sure I won’t be given a lot of time
Hey so sorry just read this comment but not an awkward question at all! But you will honestly get enough time to get it done. Did you leave for BMT yet?
I’m guessing every minute of everyday is accounted for. They want you to stay hydrated but that means using the bathroom more. They don’t get mad at you for running to the bathroom every 30 minutes? Do you have to ask to go to the bathroom? Does the chow hall have options for non-meat eaters? I am a pescatarian and if I were to eat meat it would wreck my stomach.
Oh absolutely every minute and second is on a very strict schedule. And your body will end up adjusting to the water intake. And yes ! They have lots of options for vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian! I’m honestly not sure what they’ve been serving lately but when I was in pre covid and during covid BMT it was a hearty amount of options! And you will have lots of time to study.
Thank you Amber! Also, the one thing holding me back is my dog. When would I be able to bring her? I’m guessing at my first duty station? Can you have dogs in the dorms? If you don’t have a partner is there time during the day to let her out?
@@user-rj4ib4ql3v no worries! And for your baby, unfortunately there are no dogs allowed in dorms and you’d have to live out of the dorms in order to have him/her with you. This will mean waiting till you’re of rank, be married, or have a dependent to move out of the dorms. Depending where you are stationed you could potentially move off sooner like my base due to the dorms being at a high capacity.
Are females allowed to have undercuts during basic? I started my process on enlist, I also have a undercut shave on the back lower bottom of my head. I do have long hair that covers it but obviously my hair will be tied up. Is an undercut against regs or did other females have undercuts during your time in basic?
From what I’ve read that might be a “fad” style of cut. I’d ask your recruiter for clarification on the AFI. I have not seen a female in the Air Force have an undercut so my assumption is not allowed. The AFI will cover both basic, tech school, and operational! Read up on your AFIs for more info! They’re easily available on Google!
Queen Jay I’d suggest trying to push through it. Try eating bananas for cramps during chow. I only say that just due to the fact you potentially might miss important training.
Queen Jay I’m not sure of your severity. If it’s that bad you’re gonna miss training and you don’t want that. You know your body best. I would talk to your health provider and recruiter for more info
