It involves an alleged misdemeanor on which the statute of limitations has already expired, in conjunction with another alleged misdemeanor on which the statute of limitations has also expired, both part of an alleged election interference conspiracy that other courts have already said isn’t a crime. Jose-gj8hv, the defendant is NOT required to even utter a word in his own defense during trial, and the jury is NOT ALLOWED to use his silence against him (they do, however because it’s human nature and all of that,but they are NOT ALLOWED to weigh it against him in evidence during deliberations).

Joy, God knew where you would be more loved and valued and where you would do more good for more people. If everyone could know the truth, truly know what was real (no hiding away behind ignorance, conspiracy, fake narrative, or propaganda), that would be more important than a conviction. People would know that supporting Trump would expose their own duplicity, and while some might still hang with him, they would be a tiny number of lost causes. Real Republicans, Independents and swing-voters would turn away from Trump, ...and US Democracy would be saved.

@DrakeSmith-tn6ij What if ...................happens? It's unknown, but if you believe that this particular case is a valid lawful case, you are in this for your emotions instead of reality. Most people on both sides just listen to the media, who are just actors reading a script, going off on tangents, and acting crazy to get better ratings to increase their paychecks. I only know of one actual journalist who actively seeks and relays the truth, regardless of political party. Many wouldn't agree, but they pre-judge without listening.

It isn't the pay off that is really contested. Nobody cares that he did. If he'd used his own money to do it he wouldn't have been here now. It's that he used campaign money to do it which is illegal, and then covered it up in the financial records which is very well known to be illegal.
