If you’re technically difficult scan then you may need an IV for Definity or Optison echo enhancing agent. It would help see your heart much better

Hi greetings to you all and my child has a problem with the heat and the doctor said no surgery can be perform she said that the vine that hold the heart is only so can the child grow?.

@@HotRoute7 it can be a life saving test. If you don’t get one when you need one. Your going to end up with multiple IVs anyways in the ER/cath lab

Depends on the Hospital’s or Clinic’s protocols (some have a lot more photos in their exams than others requiring more time), some pts have harder windows (pictures) due to anatomical differences making it harder to obtain the study, pt cooperation plays a role, and the sonographer’s experience (more experienced is usually faster). So yes but I’d say an echo should last max 45 minutes. That usually is more than enough time but they’ll say 60 so you’ll be relieved when they finish earlier than what they told u.

I had one many years ago and had no pain and I wonder why she or he had to stop several times was it because they were having to press down harder than normal l am sorry if that was your experience
