Welcome to mine and Belles channel! Today I'm going through what to expect when getting your first puppy! This is my list of what I have learned and what I was expecting when getting my puppy Belle!

My Casey passed away a month ago from severe kidney disease. He was almost 10. He was my mom’s favorite, she passed away a year ago. It was so hard to let him go. The next day my vet called with condolences and an opportunity to rescue a 6 month old sheltie. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to save a life. Charlie is the best chill puppy anyone could ask for. As you know they learn fast. For the first time I got pet insurance for a dog, accident and illness. Hopefully it’ll never be used but gives a sense of security. I hope your pup is doing well.

What a beautiful story! Seems like casey sent charlie into your life. Belle is doing great shes going to be 3 this December- time flies! Hope Charlie is well.

My sheltie Jack passed away a couple weeks ago. He was 16.5 years old, I'm so blessed we had so long together. I still feel like there is a piece of me that is missing now. Dogs just bring such joy to our lives, I'm so thankful for him everyday.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jack, but what an amazing 16.5 years that must have been! They truly are such a joy.

J lyn....So sorry to hear of your Jack's passing. I cant imagine your pain after 16 and 1/2 years. I lost my Sheltie only 2 weeks into her 11th birthday from Bone Cancer 4 days after Christmas 2020. Losing her was devastating and still is she was my whole life....RIP Wendy girl.

Courtney....Shelties are super sound sensitive. My Wendy was extremely so her entire life. I think they were intentionally bred that way to warn the Shepherd of approaching danger to the Flock.

She is gorgeous. I am moving to Serbia from Australia and I want to get 2 Shelties or a Scotch Collie and Sheltie. They don't exist in Serbia and the closest countries to get them from is either Slovenia or Hungary, which is only a few hours drive away so not too bad. I myself will have to settle first though before I get them. Can't wait though. I had a scotch collie before and he was so clever and gorgeous.

Hi, does Belle smell strongly of dog? My 3 months Sheltie smells, even if he has just bathed 2 days before...

Interesting! She doesn’t smell of dog much, unless shes been playing in water or at the lake and its just time for a bath. What shampoo do you use? I wonder if that could be causing the dog smell!
