Lived in Seattle, the rain is more misty than thunderstorms, live in ATL now and 50 inches is way too much rain.

We do get a fair amount of thunderstorms in the area so it’s something to note and Greenville might not be the place for someone because of it. We do get plenty of extra days of sunshine, most people say you can be outside all 12 months of the year, and that the landscaping looks beautiful due to the amount of rain we get. So there are some pros to the rain, but someone has to be willing to handle that little bit extra of rain fall and deal with the thunderstorms too. Thank you for watching!

It’s only during June and July. With the weather change, it’s spilled into August a bit. But you don’t want to be in the South during a drought so I’m happy with the rain

I can’t get used to people calling Greer, Simpsonville, TR a suburb. As I’ve always seen it, especially in the 60s when suburb culture was at its peak, a suburb is built as spillover from a bigger city because people wanted land. But all of those towns I mentioned were legit self-sufficient towns that were around at the same time as Greenville. They had/have their own governments, businesses, etc. many were on the old road from Asheville to Charleston or were trading posts with Native Americans. When I hear suburb, I think of Berea, the Eastside, Southside.

We do have mosquitoes but only on the summer!

That's a great point. Thank you for sharing, Ralph!

The mosquitoes tend to be small and appear around 4pm to about 7 or 8 pm in the Summer. Try going to Wisconsin, 😮 where you have to wear netting to keep them off you 24hrs per day 😅.

Great insight. Thank you. What is the apartment rental average?
@livingingreenvillesc2899
@livingingreenvillesc2899 Год назад
Thank you for watching. Apartment rates really vary depending on where they are located and the condition. We have some really nice apartment complexs near downtown that are $2,000+/mo and you can find places around $1,300/mo or so. The average is around $1,500/mo for a 1,000 sq ft apartment. Full disclosure I focus exclusively on buying, selling and investing, so I'm not the expert on apartment rentals, but I'm familiar with them just due to the amount of clients I've had relocate to the area. Thanks again for watching!

Thank you for watching! I don't have an outlook for the next 5 years, but I will have a video published with some of the upcoming developments in the area that will hopefully help.

Please don't come here..😂 I moved here 40 yrs ago and never looked back. But really the upstate of SC is a wonderful place to raise a family. The people are very friendly. Yes, many things to do over the entire upstate. If you like to golf. How about enjoying a mountain waterfall as your about to tee off! They have a huge smart Christmas light show near Easley, SC for the whole family. Visit The upstate and you will find out this place is a gem.

how's the public transport in greenville?
@livingingreenvillesc2899
@livingingreenvillesc2899 Год назад
Greenville has an Amtrak and a public bus transportation system called the Greenlink. Developing more and larger public transportation systems is a huge part of the cities growth plan, and they've done a good job of keeping things clean, affordable and accessible so far. I would say that Greenville is likely ahead of a lot of cities it's size but the public transportation wouldn't compare to large metro cities like NYC, Chicago, etc. www.amtrak.com/stations/grv www.greenvillesc.gov/151/Greenlink-Transit

Funny how every real estate agent doing this type of video recently came from somewhere else. I guess locals don't do real estate or is it they don't do social media?

Thank you for watching, Danny. There are tons of realtors who were born and raised in Greenville, SC. I think the reason you see more RU-vid content from Realtors in the area that also moved to Greenville is that we have a unique perspective. Typically we are sharing our own personal experiences with people who are considering making the same move themselves. Since we've lived in other areas we likely can offer a bit of a different perspective since we can share our knowledge through the lens of someone who has lived in other areas and actually choose to move to Greenville instead of just being born in the area.

@@livingingreenvillesc2899 I get it. You are targeting people who might be considering moving to the upstate area and if you can get your name in front of them you could have a client. Smart marketing!
