Keeping the PPP factor aside. Few major concerns which are prompting people to move abroad. 1) Clean Air. We breathe in high AQI which is shortening our lives and causing a lot of health issues. 2) Strong Labor laws. In India you will be exploited like hell in the corporate world, prompted to work overtime, too much office politics. Lack of professionalism. Lets be very clear, the corporate world in India is shit. 3) Corruption. If you are not rich, forget that you will ever get justice in the system. Eg: Pune Porche incident where with the power of money that guy bought almost everyone. In short, the judiciary is a joke in our country. 4) High Tax Rate with no benefits from it. You pay around 20%-30% direct tax on top of toll tax, gst, long term capital gains tax, etc but what do you get in return. Government schools and government hospitals are there but the condition there is pathetic and you would end up going for the private ones. The infrastructure is pathetic, Roads are full of potholes, improperly filled roads after repair works, etc. The garbage would be lying around. 5) Food safety. MDH masala was found to have cancer-causing agents. FoodPharmer has exposed how FMCG companies are fooling Indians with high sugar and harmful chemicals, and misleading ads. The recent raids on popular restaurants in Telangana have revealed how expired items and unhygienic environment is present in the kitchen. 6) Exam paper leaks and cancelling of the exams at the last moment. NEET exam which was all rigged. Imagine those cheaters who scored top marks and become doctors and start treating you. Just imagine how messed up the healthcare would become. 7) Reservation: Score high and pay more fees, that's general category for you. Score less and pay less fees, those are all the SC STs. 75 years since independence and do we still need this bullshit system. Politicians are using this as a vote bank and trying to even bring private sector reservation. Just riduculous. So, the narrative that India is growing is all a facade, the reality is India is growing just backward. It's better to move out to a developed country that values its citizens.

Agreed with all your points except for the last one. What do you know about reservation system? Do you even know how it works in the first place? If you’re really questioning the reservation system then first question/complain about the stupid caste system that still exists and how people have taken advantage of it for over 3000 years and still do.
@AvidWanderlust
@AvidWanderlust День назад
@@ashd8024 Reservation was introduced with the intention to stop discrimination and uplift the oppressed class. Its been 77 years since independence implying till 3rd generation of lower caste families have used the benefits of reservations. If there is still discrimination happening to the lower caste then it's a clear indication that reservation in education and jobs is not the solution to this problem. Moreover, reservation has increased discrimination towards the General Category. Do you know what it takes to work so hard for a competitive exam and then someone far less deserving takes your seat and has to even pay less fees.

As I have also worked in Germany (Not a blue collar job) as a IT Consultant for half a year the salaries and revenue generated when you own a business here is never disappointing. If it the population then I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Moreover if companies learn to start using AI more efficiently their productivity will increase resulting in that country's economy growth, can India's GDP compete then?

I agree everything you said but you missed a very important point. In my own experience the less you earn in India, it is more beneficial for you when you move abroad for work. For someone who is earning 5 LPA salary in India will have to struggle in India also. If she goes to US and earns 80k USD, she will probably ignore the cons and will paint a very rosy picture of abroad. I am sure someone will put a comment under this video saying PPP does not matter and quality of life abroad is so good. I have been to that situation. At the beginning of my career I lived and worked in US for some years. That time it felt like winning a jackpot. Now as I am earning well in India, I do see both pros and cons. India works better for me and I turned down offer for internal transfer to US many times in recent past. However. my in-laws and relatives are putting pressure on me to move abroad as all their other relatives, neighbour's son/daughter are in abroad and living a supposedly "high quality", "high standard" life.

As someone living in abroad, I will try to add some perspective here. First, the video is bang on. Next, everyone wants to move abroad because they want a Job, now there are 2 broad categories of people who move abroad for a Job, 1: Who want to study in STEM, get a STEM job and 2: People who just want any job, it doesn’t matter. Now for the people who want STEM jobs, the problem is there are less number of STEM jobs and more diversity, remember in abroad you’re competing with not only Indians but the natives of that country and other foreigners and thus you have to like really good otherwise you will find it hard to land a job even compared to India. (but if you’re really good you’ll easily make it in India in any sector) For people who want any job, these people are happy because you earn a decent living doing a decent blue-collar job which isn’t possible in a country like India. Lets say you beat the Odds, got a job and repaid the student loan, you will settle down and eventually pay EMI’s on the home loan (as discussed in the video) then eventually you will be sitting 8 hours in the office, so eventually it all boils down to in which country you want to sit 8 hours in a office and that’s the reality, you will not be roaming everyday on the wide and well built road, you will not be roam outside because of the housechores and other tasks.

A better metric is GDP per capita. Do you think India is richer than Singapore if you compare it in terms of only GDP? Yes, taxation is higher in those countries but you get better benefits in lifestyle, healthcare, school etc. You end up serving the government with taxes out of your salary in India. 1. Direct Tax (TDS from salary) 2. Indirect Tax (GST) 3. Invisible Tax (Inflation). HNI's are flying out of India because of the taxation structure, which will eventually add more burden on common people.

Due to climate change issues, I know this is very off topic, but still it would be really nice if you could this a take! Hope I'm clear with my words. It used to a flavor in the past to go abroad as the wage disparity was very high. In 1995, a CEO wage in PSU was around 2 Lakh/Month while a mcdonald wage was around $15/Hour. If you work in McD for 250hours/Month and rupee was at 40/$ which converts to 1.5 lakh/Month. Now that disparity has more or less completely disappeared. Only very high end jobs like technical architect, Principal consultant etc makes sense. If you can make 25lakh/month in india, it makes no sense to go abroad. If you want to enjoy quality of life, you should definitely go abroad. If you are ego, power seeker, it is better to stay in India. you can definitely go abroad with your salary for tours.

Comparing the quality of life factors between Canada and India: Air Quality: - Canada generally has significantly better air quality compared to India, especially in major urban centers. India struggles with high levels of particulate matter pollution. Road Safety: - Canada has much safer roads with lower rates of traffic fatalities compared to India, which has high rates of road accidents and pedestrian/cyclist deaths. Water Quality: - The quality of drinking water is generally much higher in Canada compared to India, where access to clean water can be a major challenge. Pollution: - Overall pollution levels, including air, water and soil, are significantly lower in Canada compared to the severe pollution problems faced in many parts of India. Corruption: - Corruption levels are perceived to be lower in Canada compared to the relatively high levels of corruption in India, especially in public services. Food Adulteration: - Food safety regulations and enforcement are more robust in Canada, whereas food adulteration is a major issue in parts of India. In summary, the quality of life indicators related to environment, infrastructure, public services and governance are considerably better in Canada compared to the challenges faced in India across these areas. Canada consistently performs better on global rankings of quality of life, environmental sustainability and human development compared to India.🇮🇳 And main factor is CAD vs ₹ Bare minimum wages in India 🇮🇳 manrega is ₹12000/- per month Canada 🇨🇦 minimum wage is @$18/- PER HOUR Indian monthly minimum wage = Canada per day Minimum wages

*As a fresher in the USA/Europe, especially in the computer/IT field, you have the opportunity to earn a remarkable $100,000 CTC. However, in India, the scenario is different for freshers in the same industry. While salaries typically fall between ₹5,00,000 - ₹15,00,000, the average CTC fails to reach ₹23,00,000. This stark contrast reveals the disparity that exists.*

In the US unless if your income is close to the top 10% of the population you may have a high standard" life and that itself is not 100% sure (if you live in a mixed community), unless you live in a gated highly isolated community. The reason is US, Canada, Europe, Australia and Newzealand are having Homelessness, Poverty, Drug related crimes and high inflation for more than a decade and it is just increasing every year.

Here's what it is. Nowadays those who are not good enough to succeed in India, move abroad. But these people will never blame their incompetence. They will instead find faults in India's education, reservation, competition, population, pollution, and everything to justify their move. In short, they will blame the country. but never themselves.

@@newbiekhyberExactly 💯. But as a country, as human beings , as a society - if one is incompetent, does he not deserve an average life. Does this mean only the bright and competent people should succeed. What should the others do? Others professions in India has no dignity. What's missing in India is dignity for other professions. It seems you are referring to the real estate market in Mumbai, India as having the most expensive real estate in the world, with the highest Price to Rent (PR) ratio and lowest affordability index compared to other major cities globally. Here are some key points about the real estate scenario in Mumbai: 1. Most Expensive Real Estate: - Mumbai is consistently ranked among the cities with the most expensive real estate in the world. It has some of the highest property prices globally. 2. High Price to Rent (PR) Ratio: - The Price to Rent (PR) ratio in Mumbai is very high, indicating that property prices are extremely high compared to rental rates. - A high PR ratio suggests low affordability and a bubble-like situation in the real estate market. 3. Low Affordability Index: - Mumbai has one of the lowest housing affordability indices globally. - This means that the average Mumbai resident has to allocate a very high proportion of their income to afford housing, making it highly unaffordable for the common people. The key reasons for this include limited land availability, high construction costs, skewed demand-supply dynamics, and rapid urbanization leading to a large population with limited housing options in Mumbai. This has made Mumbai's real estate one of the least affordable in the world, pricing out a significant section of the city's residents from the housing market.

Only when the population of India is drastically reduced, it is not at all possible to improve the quality of life. India is definitely growing. Highways are really good. But what is the use if population grows exponentially. If India has a population of 50 to 60 crores, with the present rate of development, then India is a paradise on earth. The temperature will come down by 5 to6 degrees. We will have space to grow more trees. Also we need to train our population n proper disposal of garbage. Everything is good in India except it's over population. Need to take a serious action.

Although all the cons mentioned in your Video is true, the most important advantage of working abroad is, the difference between the monthly savings in India and abroad. Let's say a person could save only Rs10k working in India.if he or she can save Rs50k more every month and invest the money regularly, then the person will be able to create substantial wealth in a decade. Imagine what happens if both husband and wife are working. They can save 1 lakh extra per month and apply the power of compounding, the wealth generated will be phenomenal. Improving one's income to such level in India is extremely difficult.

Nice perspective BUT: What you said about student life is true and getting a job as a fresher in Europe is also very tough. The housing crisis is very true as well. But being in Europe for the last 7 years as an IT employee, You missed a lot of factors here. Language is not a big barrier now in Europe anymore, there is still bias for people who know the local language, but Indians are learning the local language very well. There has already been a significant increase in the number of Indians moving to middle management levels. Buying big houses and many of them are opting for nationality. You missed the factors of sustainability of Indian cities, ease of living, quality of life, work-life balance, cost of kid's education, and commute to work. Above all, there are no jobs for R&D for highly educated and overqualified people. I used to spend 3-4 hours in traffic every day, now I spend it doing a sport I like or with my kids in the park. You mentioned $70bn spent for education abroad and didn't mention the $110bn remittances India received in 2023. Never missed Indian food here, in fact, I got an opportunity to taste so many other flavors. The time spent to reach my hometown from Europe = the time spent to reach my hometown from Bengaluru.
