As photographers, it's important that we're using contracts even if we're just starting out in the business. But knowing what to include inside a wedding photography contract can be tricky. I'm sharing 10 things to include in your wedding photography contract and where to find a good quality contract for your biz. This isn't legal advice :) Just tips from a wedding photographer.

Do you have an example contract of this nature where we can see how it should be worded and then obviously, of course, have it checked by a lawyer in our state... but, I'd sure love to see a copy of what this looks like.

Only on Instagram? No wonder I missed it. You should do a mailing list and have links. I am trying to develop a contract for headshots, that is difficult.

Is there a secure way to have an e-signed e-contract? No contact options are ideal for many photographers today and some with busier schedules may forgo in person consultations . I would say have them sign day of the shoot but there are things I would like to include in my contract that are time sensitive (ei: I ask that clients pay a deposit upfront but that they pay this no later than a week before their shoot to reserve their date) and so they would need to have access to this contract in advance. Personally as a grad student who also has an additional part-time job with social anxiety on top of it all sometimes it would be difficult to make time for an in person consultation and I personally prefer only seeing my clients one time. This may change in the future but I’m hoping I can do this all digitally

So, would I be able to write a contract including all these clauses and print it myself and have it be ligit or does it have have be notarized or something legal done to it?

What makes it legit is if it is enforceable - so the wording is important for your state and country - which is why I recommend you have a lawyer review if you create your own or check out The Legal Paige for photography contracts discount: JOY10

What if the parents are paying and planning for the wedding?

I personally will only sign a contract for wedding images with the couple getting married - but this is up to you and you can ask your lawyer for specifics :)
