I was Using my 70-200 F4 G and had to bump the ISO to 4,000-5,000 lol at 100 Shutter speed. They came out not too bad now it’s just the edit that will complete it. One problem that I did have with the Church was the lighting inside of it…. I asked my friend are you sure it’s bright in there he said OH YEAH! Okay we arrive and I was like dude ur killing me I don’t have a freaking FLASH on me. He said your a good photographer u can do it 😰😰😰. I’m a car photographer lol I NEVER use a flash so now I went and bought a Sony HVLF46RM just to be rdy and set! Definitely like to get into flash portrait photography not too hard at all.

What about do new photographers realize the toll this profession takes on our body? I sure didn’t! If I did I would have factored in some hazard pay! I’ve had carpal tunnel, ulnar nerve issues, mommy thumb, neck issues all from my camera! I have early arthritis in my hands and have been putting off thumb surgery for years!! Because well paid time off doesn’t exist for us. Physical therapy, massage therapy, braces, doctors appointments, surgeries, loss of income all add up. BUT the pain all the time and the loss of using of my hands when I am older just is not what I knew about going into this business. So factor that in when you need to raise your prices! :P
Such a great point! I couldn’t agree with you more. The physical toll is HUGE. And the thing is, if you don’t have your health and ability to move, it becomes hard to work at all!

Just found your video. FYI Nikon has the Creative Lighting System (CLS) that enables you to adjust settings on two separate groups of flashes. Although the radio trigger you use is more effective with obstacles within the area of flashes you use, you can also just use the light signal from the built-in flash (or an attached flash) to trigger your other flashes. Line of sight is necessary for effectiveness though. I've used multiple flashes at shoots where I just used my built-in flash to trigger them. Also, you don't use High Speed Sync, to be able to use faster shutter speeds? thx for the video.
Having data is huge! So many people go through and don't have a clear grasp of the numbers and it makes it much harder to make progress. Even just being aware of them makes a big difference. A quote I like is "What gets measured gets managed"
Yeah, I think the trick here is to not ask a photographer that is SUPER far ahead of you to second shoot for them. Find someone a year or two ahead. You do have to have some gear and some portfolio of course!

When you bring photos into Lightroom you can have them go through an import preset template and export settings can also be saved as templates. You can mass apply settings essentially so you don’t need to do it manually
