The condition is "more common in women" and "can be fatal," Dr. Ashton said.

Today is March 14, 2019, I never thought I would watch this video trying to know what the heck is this scad. But sometimes you will get to a time in your life that you really wanna know what the hell is going on with your love ones. I am sitting in ICU in Grossmont sharp hospital in San Diego city of La Mesa, asking for God‘s mercy to give my sister a second chance in her life as she is in coma due to a scad that occurred on March 12, 2019, as she was sitting in a dentist office waiting for her appointment, thank God for sister-in-law on her brave moved to gave her CPR, until the paramedics arrived, The doctor said whoever gave her the first CPR save her life literally from dying at the scene. As I’m writing this comment I’m sitting at that ICU of grossmont Hospital heart facility hoping God that she will open her eyes one more time, needless to say there is no guarantee for her to come back even if she comes back, she has to go for surgery, if you’re reading this comment please pray for my sister LAILA, ZURI.

Great video! Any info helps dealing with this unknown. I'm a 37 yo male and was affected by SCAD last year in two vessels, left circumflex and LAD. The cardiologist chose not to stent at the time of my event during an angiogram. He told me that those dissections are better off left to heal on their own. At my follow up, new cardiologist said he will put a stent in. Now, a year later I'm still symptomatic, had an abnormal stress test. I'm scheduled for a stent in a month but I'm still unsure if I should stent or not to stent. Any advice, please and thank you.

Just diagnosed with SCAD My symptoms were sooooo soooooo soooo (can emphasize that enough) subtle. There was a slight pressure in my chest and very slight passing nausea. I waited 5 hours to go to the hospital and the nurses were giving me the stink eye once they saw my heart rate, blood pressure etc was all fine. It wasn't until the bloodwork came back that my trop level was quite elevated that I got a little sympathy. I'm not sure I'll be able to tell if it happens again, because the symptoms were so so subtle. I'm pretty sure I have FMD and am waiting for further tests. After years without migraines, they came back about 3 weeks before my SCAD event and were particularly bad in the 3 days before the event.

I had a SCAD 18 years ago. We now know it was a condition I have called Fibromuscular Dysplasia, that caused it. If you have a SCAD see a Vascular Surgeon to check your arteries for this condition.

I turned 25 last Wednesday; that day I had a small surgery that needed local anesthetics, unusually, I started sweating and feeling nauseous, ended up vomiting and it was of course attributed to nervousness. A day after I started feeling nauseous again, couldn't get to sleep due to chest/ribcage pain, my neck and jaw would feel so tense I felt like a truck was crashing me, let aside the extreme fatigue and short of breath I've been feeling . I have diagnosed anxiety so I tried to attribute the symptoms to that, but I've never felt like this; the heartburn, the feel that I'm about to pass out out of nowhere... Still, i am kind of shy to seek for help since my mom and girlfriend say that it's just that I'm getting better from the small surgery, I don't know what to do. Am i exaggerating? I mean, "I am young and healthy"

What’s the best method to fix this?

I had the symptoms on Sunday but my husband didn’t want to call for an ambulance he said it was too expensive and left me there in the bathroom even when I begged him… I’m trying to convince him to take me to a doctor this week.
