Eight individuals with suspected ties to ISIS were arrested after an investigation was carried out in Philadelphia, Los Angeles and New York City, according to ABC News sources.
The suspects were reportedly from Tajikistan and crossed into the United States from the southern border in 2023.
ABC News has learned the suspects were initially allowed to enter the U.S. after being vetted and no national security issues were uncovered.
But sources say in recent weeks, authorities uncovered information indicating ties or affiliation with ISIS.

Did you notice that they entered the US lawfully? As did the terrorists who hit us on 9/11. Does that make any difference to you? Maybe if Trump had built his wall, or received $1 for it from Mexico. No, federal authorities do not think they entered legally. They are known to have entered ILLEGALLY though the Southern border and due to lack of derogatory information in databases the processing officials had access to, they were deemed vetted and not to be a threat. This is what is happening when immigration officials are overwhelmed by extreme numbers of freeloaders being enticed and released by Biden and Harris. I dealt with this first hand for years.
