Thanks for the video. Amazing how many older folks are still wearing jeans into the backcountry. Synthetic is much better. I see lots of long distance hikers wearing synthetic shorts with synthetic long underwear bottoms under when it gets a little cooler. Seems to work well in light rain because it will keep you somewhat warm and dries very quickly. That seems like a good option, especially when you carry the long underwear to sleep in as well.
Thanks for the vid! What do you recommend when it's say about 25F deg during your summit bid, but at the summit it's in the low teens, colder with the WC, getting dark and your about to descend with lows in the low teens. When do you recommend adding a base layer and or shell pants? I'm always good figuring out my upper body gear, but lower body is tricky, guessing for others too. Thx
I just made a video about this question: What to Wear in Big Temperature Swings Backpacking Climbing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WnaPBiwMMI0.html
Hey, dude, RU-vid does not promote old channels (older than 2-3 years, and yours AFAIK is more than 14 yo). I see how you straggle publishing videos every day with only few views. You should make a brand new channel and proceed publishing your videos there IMO. Anyway thanks for your videos and good luck!
