What trailer do we haul the Yanmar VIO50 on ?

I had someone wanting to know what we haul the excavator on and I figured we could do a video. This is our current trailer and truck. I am looking at new trucks right now and I do have a new trailer ordered that should be here anytime. We will do a video of it when it gets here.

This is helpful as I am trying to decide betythis machine and the sv40. How does the 250 pull it?

It pulls it just fine. The extra springs help allot. Power wise it doesn’t have a problem. It’s the power stroke

We are buying the vio55-6 and we have a pj hydraulic tilt flat bed over the wheel on two 7Ks. Our trailer dealer says, it's possible to carry the vio 55 on it, but our bearings and axle will wear out much sooner. Since you are on 2 7K axles, are you worried that you are over 14K total pounds? Thanks for the video.

I ended up going to a different trailer set up. Look at my newer videos. I show it. Its a Load Trail deck over. 18K. It has 2 8K axles with oil bath hubs. But I wouldn't haul a 55 on a trailer with 2 7K axles. I think its a little to much. Id haul it on my new trailer no problem. Not only are the 7K axles not going to like it much, the brakes are where you will have the most problems. The 8K axles have 10K brakes on them. WAY BETTER. it stops really good. Hope it helps.

That was a helpful video man. I know heavy equipment but I do not know trailers that well as far as whats available and manufacturers are willing to do. Were you saying that you special ordered that larger I-beam from them? It did you install it yourself?

Nope the iron bull trailer came like that. They are the only ones that make an I beam trailer with a dovetail that’s I found. Most of them are straight tails.

Not needed really for this setup. But to each their own. Equipment weight distribution is the biggest factor outside have the proper truck/trailer for what you're hauling. Good tongue weight with keeping as much of the loads weight over the axles as possible.
