I'm about to pull the trigger on one this week!! Glad you made these videos super helpful. I've been running a kubota for 11 years and I feel like the sv40 runs just as good.
Well if you get it or want to join anyways I have a new growing Facebook page. Yanmar Excavator Owners If you want to check it out and or join. I have members from all around the world all ready. Thanks for watching my videos. I’m glad they helped you out.
Nice video. I’m really interested in what size trailer and truck you transport this awesome beast. This is the best video showing SV40 lifting capability ever!!! Well done.
I used to pull everything with a 2015 F250 with a 6.7 diesel and a 14K trailer. I have a couple videos of my old set up. Now I have a 2020 F450 7.3 Godzilla gas engine and a 18K trailer. Its a load trail deck over with 8K axles. 17.5 " 16 ply tires. Over kill but awesome.
It was just here for me to check it out and to do some videos with. I really liked the machine. I own a VIO50-6 and love it. Id go Yanmar before I would do a cat for sure.
What did that machine cost you? I'm looking at one but the prices are all over the place, guess it's a covid supply and demand thing right now, maybe I should wait awhile.
how do you feel about the SV40 compared to the VIO50 im looking at both machines right now, would you still choose your 50 over the 40 if you could do it over ?
I need the size and weight of my 50. But that 40 is a really good size. I do allot of retaining walls and land clearing. Also do allot of pond repair. I could use a 55 about 30% of the time but couldn’t justify it for most my work. I ran a 35 for a long time. I think that 40 would blow them away.
I’m about to go with the 40 after testing the 50 out. The 40 is so much smoother if a machine and it can handle the same weight. The 50’ is a heavier duty machine tho. What’s everyone thoughts ?
Hey Jason, this is Jason! The guy that talked back and forth with you about excavators and mulching heads on facebook a few months ago; I wanted to ask what you thought about the SV40; I am considering one this year as my first X that I can afford, and I am going to get a small mulching head for it; the reason for going so small is because I don't have my CDL's and I don't know how I could go to school for them while working full time, so I am trying to be as legal as possible; any thoughts would be great; I am subscribed and I appreciate the vid's; thanks!
the sv40 is a good little machine. Its usually good to get as big as you can but it depends on what your doing with it. You can haul a vio50 on a trailer and be under cdl but its close and you have to have the right truck and trailer. I really like the sv40. it would be hard to decide on that or a vio50 if they were out when I bought my 50.
They are getting more dealers every month I was told. Vermeer dealers have always been a dealer for them just never tried to stock them before. I was told the Yanmar is number one in the world. They have just not been super popular in the US because dealers didn’t stock them. That’s changing now.
