Honestly wish I had reported an er nurse who dropped me off a gurney and laughed threatened me with a catheter and I begged just do it then bc I couldn't sit up, she said nah u can figure it out ( I couldn't walk they were trying to get urine to sample). Ended up calling an ambulance the next day I was paralyzed on the waist down , said if they took me to the same hospital they could leave me. Or the orthopedist who when doing a medial branch block the marcen went intravascular and I couldn't control my larynx...I reflectively could breath but not intentionally my voice dropped from very high pitched naturally to very low and hoarse...and my BP went from 65 over 60 to 150 over 90.. he came out when nurse was trying to give me oxygen screamed get out nothing is wrong with you then wrote down I was allergic to the marcane...didn't find this out till anesthesia for my back surgery with neurosurgeon told me about my notes and said he really messed up and how I wasn't allergic...I have medical PTSD now which as a chronically ill patient sucks bc I see Drs and hospitals all the time. Use the medical boards people so others don't experience these things ..didn't find out about reporting to a board till too late.
Pretty sure it was the ophthalmologists that made the surgeons look so bad. Some of the meanest damn doctors I have ever met. Followed by GI, internal medicine, and obgyn. Nicest docs are hematology, emergency medicine, and rheumatology. The best doctor I have ever had was a general surgeon.
My guess before looking is.... Family practice drs.. Wow.. What a good question. Let's rock the boat where it belongs.🎉 Edit... Ok maybe it would be more the ER drs... I have not a clue. No.. It would be those who do a bunch of needless surgeries etc so private drs can be more reported quite often,?
I'd say the reason for this is because botched surgeries can lead to malpractice suits with a much higher dollar amount and because hurting kids is an absolute trigger... Surgeons also have a riskier medical profession than other medical fields, generally speaking, so just for that fact alone I'd say this makes sense...
Huh. Very interesting. Now I wonder what statistics are out there about the medical care field as a whole. I'm thinking CNAs and HHA's might be a the top.
