Iowa 80 is centrally located, off a busy interstate. Truckers love it because it has all the amenities they need, when on the road, even a repair shop, when their rigs go down. That's the biggest complaint truckers have... they can't pull off and find these amenities, in their rigs... TOO big a rig. When I was driving OTR for CR England, if we were in the vicinity, we stopped, no matter what. It was an automatic layover for us.
As of Sept 2021 - U.S. Route 20 is the longest road, beginning in Boston at Route 2 and runs through to an intersection with US 101 in Newport, Ore. Great video, thanks Tanya and Dave. Back in Summer 2018 when I was camping with friends, they taught me about the beauty of truck stops, especially the showers! Haven't been to this one yet. Love the fitness center, barber shop and movie theater features. As for food, I'm a vegan C, bacon and sausage patties and links. The sweetness of the bacon and the spice of the sausage are so delicious. Blessed be. 💖💖💖

I came to say the same. Gotta check out Jubitz now. In Portland Oregon. They also have a post office, a bar that features live musicians, a hotel and they have showers and jacuzzis in the truck stop.

Most truck stops have really good food. Homemade flavor since they’re on the road so much. When we would travel on our motorcycle we tried to find a truck stop to eat.

Always bacon for me first choice, then ham, sausage last...lol! My nephew is a long haul truck driver. We are Canadian. He lives in Alberta and I live in Ontario. He hasn't been going over to the USA because of this dam b.s at the border for COVID-19. He is not a well guy, has serious back problems. Great young man.

Hello this is Mary Ann from South Jersey I've never been to Iowa but I have friends that live in Fairfield and Des Moines and winterset how far from winterset is truck stop 80 this is very interesting and I saw your video on Deadwood I too was in Deadwood such a nice place we were on a bus tour had no idea you could spend the night in a covered wagon that must have been awesome stay safe thank you for sharing I'm a 76 year old lady who still working full-time at Walmart I've been there 20 years your echo camper is very interesting to me stay safe happy trails bacon and sausage both

My boyfriend is a trucker and been driving lots of years, but never told me any stories of 80 truck stop in Iowa. That place is amazing. I'd never want to leave, so much to do. I love those chairs, they will put u to sleep.I like sausage, but prefer Scrapple, scrambled eggs,, hash browns, & hot tea.😜
Crispy bacon 🥓 for sure! Can't be undercooked or I dont want any. Thats for breakfast and probably in general if i had to choose one. Im not a big fan of brakfast sausage and I think the patties are equally unappealing. But as Dave mentioned - sausage is versatile! There are so many types and meals that can be made. But i also love bacon in ceasar salad and in cobb salad. Yum! And even some pastas! Ok definitely bacon! 🥓😅😅😅
Hannah, yes, Iowa 80 is great including the food and prices! We would absolutely camp overnight there again if we drive across country on 80. Would you camp overnight in a truck stop?
DANG! For a few years, I was lucky enough to go to Italy every summer, but now y'all have got me longing to go to the Iowa 80 Truck Stop (and, strangely, craving bacon!) Delicious food, movies, massage, not to mention endless shopping, a work-out room and a hair stylist! Hell, put in a pool and they top any Ramada Inn I've ever stayed at! Fun video. Next time my musician hubby has a gig in Iowa, I just might have to ride shotgun...😊

Just subscribed and my Dad who I’m taking care of now and is retired Army but previously was a truck driver watched this with me and says the longest interstate Interstate is I-90) which was constructed back in 1956, and moves in an east to west direction and passes through 13 states!
