I was more fascinated with Helena's performance rather than disgusted by her character. That title goes to the Delores Umbridge Actress 😅 she's such a sweet lady but her character absolutely filled me with hatred
@@jtwatts7990 yea, imelda staunton also killed it. In general, a lot of the adult female actors in the series absolutely nailed their character. While i think the males did very good, i can’t really think of a male actor that blew me away the way those two + ivana lynch did.
lets count up the things that formed her into the person she is....1) her father was a hardcore bastard that broke her spirit for being both a woman (that needs to be subserviant to men, but she will not take guff off anyone) and a pure blood that needs to be a certain way befitting the pureblood status....2) she was forced into a loveless marriage (to both keep pureblood status and wealth) and could not leave that marriage even though she was in love with Voldemort (who never would in a million year return that love, sure he'd show appreciation that she is a loyal servant, but never love)...3) she was in love with the darkest wizard in all of history.......these things would make anyone insane
Brilliant video, but I disagree about her having a one track mind: she seems to care a lot for her sisters, even going so far as to acompany her sister Narcissa to Spinner's End even though it was EXPLICITLY against Voldemort's orders. She also never stopped calling Andromeda "sister" even after all those years. She was clearly loyal to the Black family and wanted to prune the family tree of any and all sick branches (i.e., Sirius, Tonks) I think she had a more complex psychology than the one you make her out to have, Dean
She also doesn't seem like the kind to like kids either but she spent quality time with Draco and taught him a few dark tricks and I definitely feel she was protective of him just like Narsicca
Wait for andromeda she never stopped calling her sister?! I have a feeling she cares for and loves Narcissa, but wouldn’t do anything if Voldemort hurt her or draco.
@@entertainmentjunkie In DH, when Voldemort teases her about her family, she responds by insulting every last one of them, but Andromeda. She says that her and Narcissa hadn't spoken to their _sister_ since she married the mudblood.
so, in Azkaban, Bellatrix just sat, ate, slept, and imagined and thought about what it would be in Voldemort's inner circle, hints to why she wasn't affected by the dementors. sounds like it.
What if Bellatrix was Luna’s mom. Instead of her wild experiments killing her, they completely unhinged her mind and turned her into Bellatrix……..totally out there theory, but could be fun to play with
I couldn't imagine Bellatrix being Luna's mom. And anyway Luna can see the thestrals. But I will say you're right in that such a turn of events would be fun and interesting to toy around with.
Now just take a look at Luna and take a look at we’ll do I have to mention it the name that begins with the letter D they do look similar to each other and this theory keeps getting stranger and stranger !
@@entertainmentjunkie according to cannon Bella’s father lived until the late 90s but her mother died early in her childhood she was probably 4 years old but I doubt she was close to any of her parents
Voldemort does seem to have sightly more control over his rage, and is also a bit more humane. Sure he uses torture spells but usually he just delivers a quick and painless death to his adversaries. Bellatrix on the other hand, well, as Dumbledore put it, she likes to play with her food before she eats it.
I had a crush on Helena when she played Mrs lovett in Sweeney Todd, then she played Bellatrix and I totally got even more obsessed with her.talented beautiful lady
I just got to thinking, if Bellatrix had a child with Voldermort (him being a half-blood) went against her parents teachings of being pure blood. Their child would only be 3/4 in her pantarage.
In the movie 8 adromeda returns and fight Belatrix and Belatrix doesn’t die because before she dies she opens a portal. and also for Voldemort he doesn’t die because when Harry goes in a white place and he sees dambouldor they se a crecher like baby Voldemort.
@@rockstarfriends7670 anyone coming from any all magical family are some how related to one and other due to a lot of inbreeding occurring amongst these families
I think her paranoia of everyone else made her especially loyal. Voldemort's rule through fear and LeStrange's paranoia towards others likely meant that she believed that Voldemort would be paranoid of his followers and turn on her unless she displayed unwavering loyalty.
Not really. Umbridge would have resented her out of control, erratic mentality and behaviour. She was always about presenting a front of respectability, pleasantness and decorum to hide the sinister nature underneath.
Most bad people are not born bad, most bad people are made bad because of past circumstances. Like most people, most bad people are products of their environments. And just because someone is smiling and laughing doesn't mean that they're happy and enjoying themselves.
Bellatrix is not a psycopath however she is a sociopath sycos are not capable of love Sociopaths are And Bellatrix loved both of her sisters You can tell she loved Narcissa even in her madness helping her hide something from voldemort bcause Cissa wanted to protect her son
You see all those death eaters and loads of other witches and wizards in Diagon Alley. What I would like to know how many of them went to Hogwarts or other wizarding school.
This just hit me like a Superman punch from Roman Reigns himself😂😂. Since Molly Killed Bellatrix, did the act split her soul?! Or bc she was protecting her daughter, did nature know this was Bella’s time to die???
Correction Bellatrix was never at Hogwarts when Dumbledore was killed by Snape. They put in the movie probably just to give Helen Bonham Carter more screen time.
