Wow. Listening to this reminded me of a situation that suddenly strikes me as more substantial than I originally accepted it for. A month ago one early evening, I was walking along and on the sidewalk right before me was a centipede. Not the centipede with the lanky and follicle thin, long legs, but of the variety with a more robust and substantial exoskeleton, and thicker legs. When once I wouldn’t have wasted a split second before smashing this rather apparently menacing insect which I felt emanated a hideously shocking and disgusting image, I actually couldn’t bring myself to strike it. Now I beheld something with a beautiful and pleasant image, with its rows of legs rolling along as though it were a ballet dancer. So, today where I only have an absolute tendency in my actions, I should not deny that with time the permanence is loosened and where we would have sworn there’s never likelihood for any changes, we should one day awaken to difference that awakens and grows with time. Ha ha, Im having fun dissecting your discussion, specifically what you were touching upon with the sounds, and how the sounds that seem to have been removed from His name by your work in question are, coincidentally, your favorite. My favorite sound is the sine wave, which theoretically should not be audible, but since there is resonance from accidental artifacts, we hear the rattles from those artifacts, in the resonant frequencies of the artifacts. So maybe we can say that vocal or vowel sounds are sine waves and the consonants are these artifacts, and they originate in our lungs and bodies? I studied phrenology and phonemics so I often overexamine sounds and supposed pronunciations. THANK YOU, BOTH, for sharing your discussion. When you were talking about the 5 Aions below the moon that flee to the left/west. A. It makes me think of the Diurnal motion of the heavenly sphere (the Sun, Moon, Planets, and Stars, clockwise rotation from east to west over the course of the day as they rise and set). The Ptolemaic system deduces distance based on relitivite speed in the sky, so that would put this motion below the moon potentially. B. Since the sun and moon are never retrograde, that means they always move through the zodiac in a counter-clockwise direction (west to east, or to the right as seen from the northern hemisphere) This leaves the 5 visible planets as the only heavenly bodies to ever move through the zodiac to the left(clockwise). They do this when they are retrograde. This whole moving to the left or right stuff really got me thinking, and if you count the retrograde planets as different from direct planets, you have the 5 that retrograde and the 7 traditional bodies and that. This also fits with the way the zodiacal rulership is divided with the sun and moon getting 1 sign each and the rest ruling 2 signs each. C. To me, the Treasuries track the Term/Bounds, (6° divisions, 5 per zodiac sign, 60 total) they are often related to specific stars within constellations so it makes sense for them to be located at the sphere the fixed stars. The watchers track to the Decans/Face (these are 10° division, 3 per zodiac sign, 36 total) aslo associatedwith stars and or groupsof stars. the triplisity lords also come to mind, each sign has 3 As someone who is deeply interested in Ελληνικά Astrology, I find this stuff so fascinating! 🤔 #TeamPtolemy

@esoterica I actually have the answer about those V and Z sounds: I'm a tech at a somatic therapy institute that studies the mind-body-spirituality connection and I've sat in on workshops with Peter Levine who is one of the founders of a therapy-style that focuses on the vagus nerve and it's connection to trauma. Basically the 'Z' sound or 'V' sound are inherently calming to our nervous systems, specifically the vagus nerve. When you combine that with some Jungian style active imagination it's a really powerful detraumatization and mental grounding technique. That very well could be the 'magick' part of using the sound. I will be extra frank, I've used the technique on myself frequently and you do get a kind of 'trip' out of it if you have a good active imagination. And there's this weird breaking point after you've gotten past your trauma where it get's kind of whacky. @Justin I think you should connect with the people at The California Institute of Integral Studies. Again I'm a tech there and there are some deep, deep connections to the body that the people there are rediscovering, and yes quite a few of the professors are well aware of gnosticism. Dude I honestly think we're rediscovering this shit.

You are a scholar after my own heart, Dr. Sledge: that was not only one of the few NES games I was good at, but also one of my favorites back in the day. I didn't know anyone else who had it, nor did I know anyone else who wanted it (before or after they actually saw it and tried it at my house!), but I loved it! This is a very interesting discussion! The one question I would have loved to have heard you ask Dr. Evans-Walker was if there is any potential relationship with the Books of Ieu and the Stele of Ieu in the PGM, but I've mentioned that in the comments on some of your other videos previously. In any case, excellent work as always! I look forward to what is next, whether or not it is Pistis Sophia! ;)

Wow Justin landed on something REALLY important when it concerns derision and studying this stuff. I read The Immortality Key and one passage that absolutely jumped out at me was how the Dean of BU prohibited the study of entheogens in early Christianity because "They wouldn't have done that".

I've only just started learning about Gnosticism, so most if this went right over my head 😅 Just wanted to say though, the band Draconian made an album about Gnosticism (called Under a Godless Veil) which imo is pretty good if you like gothic/doom metal. I'm actually trying to understand the references better and looking forward to learning more!

Has anyone done a comparison of the content of the Books of Jeu with the Book(s) of Coming Forth by Day? It seems I see a lot about the Greek and Jewish influence on Gnostic texts but there seems to be a very clear Egyptian influence that isn't often discussed. I feel that many authors of Gnostic texts are speaking of terms with a deep cultural meaning that may not have need much explanation. Like you pointing out the use of the "z" sound. In Egyptian Heiroglyphs "z" is a doorbolt. Perhaps in Egypt the "z" sound was symbolic of something having to do with threasholds or crossing them. Of course I'm speculating heavily so it might have nothing to do with the Jeuian use of the sound but I feel details like that are worth exploring at least. How similar is the content of the Books of Jeu to the BoCFbD? In what ways is it similar and does that shed any light? If anyone has done work like this I'd be fascinated to know what their thoughts are.

For example, at 23 minutes, discussion of “sides” sounds very much like the Tree of Life Pillars. Later, the Z sound discussion does seem to imply setting up some kind of “harmonic resonance” frequency in “communication”.

I didn't know symbols from Jeu were seals on the other NH texts. Fascinating! Perhaps it was a more common version of Christianity than we've been led to believe.
