It's big, it's slow, and it mostly works!

I'm curious your grudge with Slice Engineering? I have Copperhead and Mosquito hot ends on many of the machines in my print farm

I got a handmedown Anycubic chiron.. It has a glass bed and is 400x400x450. Luckily the bed is AC heated. Currently running an SKR Mini E3 V3 running klipper and it works pretty damn well. This printer is huge, i cant imagine what a 500x500x500 printer would be, my chiron already just barely fits on my desk.

AC heated bed is a must for something so big! I bet klipper helps a lot too. This was a while before my klipper indoctrination

I have an S5 which I am doing my best to make work. I originally thought when using hairspray that a thick coat was needed and it wasn't - just a mist enough to cover your print area is needed, not the whole bed unless you are using up that space. Extra hold is good, $3 and something change at Walmart. Mt CR touch is being a pain as is an unknown error for heating failure. Otherwise, I will be like you and make sure of everything before I run my print. Good work!

Best of luck with your own machine! Are you running klipper? I really wanna see the IS graphs on that heavy Y axis

@@mitsubishimakes No, I am not running klipper because I have no idea on how to do that and the machine is already messed up as it is and I don't want to risk screwing it up any further. I like to get it to run and its own basic programming first before I make any further modifications.
