@@DemanaJaire nah… id prefer new game mode without rewards if getting rewards mean change in old “permanent “ system. Its giving me trust issues and saying there’s no credibility in hoyoverse. Idk why you care so much about rewards.
They should've kept that cascading waterfall, i was really disappointed how empty it was. This area was the cross-section of liyue-sumeru-fontaine, they should've given a little more substance considering celestia is overhead of the area too as well kheanri'ah being close to that area as well.
even though they added that sumeru bay, the entire map area there is empty🌞 its a huge contrast to the rest of the game. I wish hoyo would go back and “fix” inbetween areas, theres quite a few from other updates that are just vast expanses of,, nothing?
I love map design, Geography and Topography. Videos like this are super awesome. Thank you for the work. Its nice and a deep learning experience to see how the land and lore changes as the game develops.

Amazing editing. What I don’t like is that there are barely any chests in these parts. Like come on... why not include these zones in their respective regions if you are not going to use them properly later on? At least have more enemies to farm or whatever. What will new players say when they explore these areas without the knowledge that they weren't part of the game before Fontaine? Like other person said, it's a huge contrast.
Really well made videos. Thanks for showing up close what areas used to look like. Those things have always been really intriguing to me. It's amusing to watch the evolution of the game and the game as a whole I was wondering if you'd make a map comparison for older regions pre-fontaine (Dragonspine, Inazuma, etc) if in the future older versions become playable somehow?

I don't think it was that much of an expansion. I was expecting Bayda Harbour to be another populous and grand location like Port Ormos and Yilong Wharf but it was mostly small and dead looking. I was also expecting more exploration rewards for Sumeru but there was hardly any. Even Petrichor despite beautiful looking is just so unrealistically small and so uncanny because of lack of buildings and after having a good look at the entire water body surrounding the island and the shoreline of the Sumeru rainforest and desert feels like Mihoyo just wanted to fill up the gap between Fontaine, Sumeru and Liyue without really trying hard. I know that that the main focus was on the Sea of Bygone Eras but let's be honest like many previous underground locations it too will be forgotten so it would have been better if Bayda Harbour and Petrichor had been grand and populous locations instead of being nerfed looking like they are right now.
Love these videos, excellent job as awalways! This is one of the first times I genuinely feel disappointed with a map expansion (even if sumeru wasn't the focus, I was really looking forward to this area). They took away my beautiful mountain and waterfalls, and Bayda Harbor is so tiny and empty 😭.
Sadly there’s not a single chest in that area :( there are only three chests in the green area, and a few mora monuments, but all in the green area too

My first thought about map was why did they nert mountains lol,but now it makes lot sense.they added way more details and huge water body around petrichor make it unique and interesting in my opinion
1:14 1:19 i figured they just didnt want more land because they cant be assed to put more 'boring' lands replaced it with boring sea instead sigh the waterfalls are the real victims here anyway thank you for the work, its always amazing to see this, i will cherish 4.5 old map
Kind of disappointed in the sumeru section 😔 Like I expected Bayda Harbor to be larger bc it handles a lot of people between Sumeru and fontaine. And there’s like nothing beside mountains
As far as I know, there's a technical problem with the region that hasn't been solved yet, and the Fontaine version has ended, so I don't know if the region will be released in the future. >
they nerfed northern coast of sumeru still as big as 1 regular-sized sub region, but almost nothing to do there since overall sumeru exploration is 100%
the expansion is lackluster af. dunno if hoyo planning anything with this area or it just gonna stay like this. i was actually exicited to see the rest of the rainforest but looks like they decreased the land instead of expanding it
tbh i'm really disappointed with the 4.6 update,, first of all they cut off a huge chunk of sumeru map and only 3 chests been added to the new sumeru map😡,, i think they were better locked off.. a huge chunk of area been wasted for nothing .. the bayda harbour is too tiny.. the new weekly boss knave is underwhelming,, expected more from her.. and finally the cut scene of the battle between the knave and traveller in the story quest, it was terrible.. i mean why the heck didnt the traveller even use a single skill!! i mean the traveller did use his geo skill in navias story quest.. he had atleast 4 skills and didnt use even one,,, it was just a horrible marketing ploy as the knave's banner came out at the same time to make the father(knave) stand strong for those simps... im not playing this game anymore until 5.0,,,
