They really do become more individual, less trope-y as the show goes on. All the other seasons have a completely different tone from most of season one, getting more serious and less case/monster of the week. Everyone grows and the cast expands and it truly is an amazing show. Love the reaction!

Actually yes the characters do pull away from their archetypes and by season 7 they are completely different characters than who they were in season 1

Season one was serviceable but the twist later on really did make the sweet family bonding of the season hit harder. I remember the betrayal I felt back then. I couldn't even look at the actor's face without getting annoyed. The show was pretty consistent in how it got better and better with time and seasons. Every new season I'd think about season 1 and wonder how a show could change so much yet keep it's core. It definitely improved a lot.

Season 1 (pre-twist) was serviceable but cheesy. Season 1 (post-twist) the entire show gets its legs and catches my attention. tSeason 2-5 was amazing TV, season 6 was okay, and season 7 was trippy and hilarious.

For a network TV show, AOS had some surprisingly dark scenes. The spytech gadgets made it the best spy show out there. When they had the money to splurge, some scenes were cinematic quality. Oh, and AOS had the best aircraft scenes of any show, period.

Season one was hampered by the fact that they had to wait for the release of Winter Soldier before they could start their season arc, which unfortunately was between episodes 16 & 17. So they had to twiddle their thumbs for 15 episodes before starting the show properly. But what it did allow them to do, and in retrospect quite brilliant, is to build on the team dynamic and the world that they inhabited, so when Ward betrayal occurs we can genuinely empathise with the rest of the team when they find out. And the shock of the fans was mirrored by the cast who only found this out when filming epsiode 17.

This show is so much more than what season 1 started out as. The characters also grow and develop exponentially. If you want a glimpse of how one character grows and where the show goes and what it's more about. Watch Leopold Fitz the big bad brain of shield 1x01-7x13 by MARGARITA LIFE it's a long video ,almost 30 minutes but maybe you can do it in two parts.(best character in the show although all the characters grow and expand past season 1 just like Fitz)

Agents of shield season 4 is on par with infinity war and winter soldier tbh. The only "bad" seasons were -Season 1, because they were waiting for winter soldier to drop. -Season 6, because the network kept slashing the budget and fiege didn't want them to spoil infinity war or endgame - so they had to jump timelines at the end of season 5 when infinity war was releasing to maintain continuity. Seasons 2-3 and 7 were as good as netflix daredevil and seasons 4-5 easily surpassed it.

Agents of shield is still probably my favourite marvel properties. I always hope other people will start watching it because its amazing. Season one is slow but the characters and story is amazing later on. I recommend it to any marvel fan!

First season is so so, from season 2/3 and on....best Marvel show ever. Fitzsimmons are just amazing,Iain de Caestecker stunning, agent Mai, a badass and when people ask who my favourite avenger is, my answer is Phil Coulson.

The show becomes stronger as it goes, with season 4 as the standout. Even season 2, which I have major issues with, has some of the best episodes in the series.

It looks like there’s a synopsis like this for all the AOS seasons. Hopefully you react to them all because yes, they do break out of the mold. Very much so. And in some seasons, they do comic concepts better than other marvel attempts do… worth exploring!

aos is one of those shows that only gets better by the time it's done. by season 4 they were pushed out of contact with the mcu and went their own way. seasons 4-7 are some of the best of the show!

Agents of shield is one of my favourite shows of all time, it definitely has some of the best written characters I have ever seen. I do agree that the lighting and visuals overall look a little flat in season 1 but they get a lot better in later seasons. I’d take this show over the movies every time🖤🖤

I see the dissing of special effects in this vid but Agents of shield does them brillaintly with what they have and want to tell, every ghost rider scene is just glorious just like all the space stuff. i think its unfair to judge the whole show based on its one season. Since of course first seasons of the tv are more grounded

A while ago I told you Orphan Black is my fav show, but AOS is second, and it is superb. I'm not a big fan of the MU movies because the characters are underdeveloped and plastic, the visuals (and SFX) are overdone, and the whole mash-up finishes with a huge city destroying fight that is meaningless and stupid. But AOS is fabulous, and it gets better and better as each season progresses. The characters are real, the acting is fantastic, and I cheer and laugh ep after ep. And I love Fitz and Simmons, but Sky (Daisy/Quake) is the best. You have to see it before knocking it. And it is TV, so get over the drawbacks, the budget and the disinterest, because AOS is the bomb. All else pales.

I mean, sure, it *looks* cheaper (because it is) but the visuals are not the most important thing. Agents of Shield is better than most MCU movies writing wise, the chemestry between the main cast is great, the character development is miles ahead of the films. It starts off cheesy and mediocre but when we get to the Hydra-Winter Soldier tie in, it develops into one of the best Marvel products

4:32 This statement does a tremendous disservice to the actors. The performances elevate the characters WAY beyond just cogs in the system. Especially Chloe and Iain.

I have yet to see a reactor that didn't want to see the show. Then at the end wonder why they never watched it before. It does become great. It's right up there with GoT, BtVs, Battlestar Galactica, it has rewatcablity

for me season 1 is the intro and with season 2 it starts and i love season 2 so so much there is nothing on earth that is better if i would need to decide knowing about aos or having 150bilion euro i would watch aos
