I hope you all enjoy this video and all the others. I am just your ordinary struggling mama that has to be frugal and intentional with the way we live and that also includes us as a family utilizing our local food pantries to help supplement our grocery budget. With the ever rising cost of groceries and the economy in general we all need a helping hand up at times.

You can blanch potatoes and freeze them, also dice, slice onions and peppers and freeze use as needed.

@@debbiesokol5907 I would blanch and freeze but I just don’t have the freezer space for them. I have canned up a ton and so far I have them storing nicely so I’m hoping they last for a while!!

I always watch all your videos . All your meals look great . Wow Hannah is 18 already . Where does time go . My grandchildren are 16 and 13 already . Time flies. I’m old enough to be your mother .

You're doing great. Many of us are eating pretty simply too. I ate a croissant from freezer toasted with a fried egg, Kraft processed cheese slice and deli ham I pulled out of the freezer for lunch. Banana to finish off the meal and that's lunch. Enjoy the weekend.

@@honeywell7892 thank you 😊 It’s the way to go, we can’t afford all of the expensive seasonings and cuts of meat so we make do with what we have and we stretch it as far as we can!!!! Your croissant sounds super tasty though!!!! Maybe I will get some croissants from the pantry today!!!

Nothing at all wrong with any of the meals you cooked. Thats the way I usually cook. Last night I made spaghetti with meatballs, fries okra and fried squash with garlic bread. It all came from the food pantry. We like the content that you put out, if we didn't, we would not watch. Just keep doing what you do, girl as long as there is a smile on your face.😊😊

I did a pumpkin foray around the supermarkets yesterday. The carving ones aren't great to eat, but this time of year, they stock all the fancy pumpkins and squash, like ironbark and turk's turban, for £1 - £2 and they keep for months in a cool, dry place!

@@colettebishop2173 ahhh yes they do, so many people use them as decor but nope not us…. We eat them lol. That’s a great way to get them and they really do store very well. I’m hoping to focus more on my garden next year as to grow more and have a better harvest.

❤ love the meal you have cooked. We always make homemade pizzas at home. My husband and I go to the once a month food pantry and I also go to some church food pantry as well. It sure has helped me and my husband out so very much.

@@teritempel4774 🥰 thank you, 😊 I just get creative in the kitchen with the items I have received. Sometimes you have to think outside of the box. I will reach out to her and see what her plan is but I do know she has been doing really good. They just celebrated her husband Josh’s birthday.

@@MamaToAll_Homestead I am doing good and I hope you are too❤️ feeling better from last week so sounded so sad 😞 with your mouth hurting, I bet she’ll enjoy it, we only been 2x as I remember the food was tasty, but the servers being a dick is hilarious first time we went the server wasn’t into it, then second time we got a show lol 😂 telling me to get my own drink refills and all, the other restaurant sounds interesting too, we ate at a monster burgers place in Pigeon Forge I bet she’d love, it had Halloween monsters all in restaurant and there food is based on horror like our son got a Blood bag to drink it was like Hawaiian Punch lol but he loved it! And the food was delicious!! I am going to get her a card, 18 is such a great age ❤️

I had a squash break my heart this week. My daughter loves spaghetti squash when I found it i ended up paying $7 for one medium spaghetti squash

@@melissawilkinson2652 yes they are. I just got a bunch of prepackaged pineapple given to me from a friend and it had yesterday’s sell by date so I took it and canned it up. I couldn’t believe when I added up the price from each container that it was over $30 worth of fresh pineapple that would’ve been trashed by my friend but I saved it and got 9 pints of pineapple on my shelf.
