Short summer finally got here in Paris! It's nice to have good weather every day, but the hot weather can make cooking a chore and we tend to cook only simple dishes. But we can't get through the summer without eating nutritious food! So, in this video, we show you what we eat to stay healthy in the hot summer period.
In the morning, I make a quick Taiwanese break fast: Shentochan (salted soy bean milk).
We go to the farmers’ market to buy fresh vegetables and fish. Of course, it's also important to buy seasonal flowers.
For lunch, we have a summer favourite, Chinese style cold noodles. In order to get as much nutrition as possible in one dish, I add lots of vegetables and steamed chicken instead of ham. But it's all done in the microwave, so it's very easy! I will show you how to make it in the video (and the ingredients are written below! )
And for dinner, the main dish is spring rolls with lots of vegetables. We also tried the vegetable and shellfish from the farmers’ market. It was a healthy but filling meal.
We hope that you enjoy the video and feel like you are eating at the table with us and shopping at the market!
