Varry interesting. I voted early for the first time today. Spent 1 hour in line. The employee said this is the biggest early voting turn out they have ever seen.
I hear that. Every time I land in my grandma’s home town of Montgomery Alabama and walk down the street from her home I’m reminded that black people chose to walk instead of taking the bus to their jobs, grocery stores, churches and would lean on the community to aid in this all so I can cast my ballot without risk of being attacked. They did the hard work so I can do the easy work of casting my ballot.

There are seemingly many more Republicans crossing over to vote for Kamala than Dems voting for Trump, from what I have been hearing and reading. We know that we can't tell how many votes each candidate gets just from party affiliation. Also there are many independent voters. So, not too much can be gleaned from this info except that a lot of people are voting early.
@billbrasky, when I voted, no one in the line near me was voting for Trump. Outside the designated area where no candidates’ material was allowed, there were people with yards signs to give away. Didn’t see anyone while I was waiting but a lot of people took Harris signs on their way out.

I'm an AZ John McCain R (now Independent) and voted all blue as did my wife as did my MIL. So party affiliation does not mean much. Many of my friends are still R's but can't stand Trump. He was the worst person for the GOP to nominate after the Jan 6th attack on our capital. Plus he is too old just like Biden. I've read that upwards of 30% of R's in AZ are never trumpers after Jan 6th but will still vote. One of my friends who is a Muslim voted trump in 2016 as an R because he grew up in a military junta run country with stong man dictator types and didn't think a woman could be a leader but after the muslim ban he told me never again. He said he will hold his nose and vote Harris even though he still doesn't think woman should be leaders but trump is just not an option.

Voting by mail is a terrible idea. The only people voting by mail should be military and USA citizens working in other countries. It's too easy for bad actors in government on either side to manipulate the vote the way its setup now. We should have a national holiday and everyone vote in person unless physically disabled.

Cannot vote early in my state (Alabama) but my voting plan is taking off work early and going to vote with my daughter. I am so excited that we are going to vote for the first female president. Straight BLUE in my red state.
