@@RawDiscovery Lets be honest most Independents are just democrats in a suspended space. They stay independent to swing votes for the democrats, Like they did here, and in 2020 and most other voting settings. There is strategic value in remaining independent, instead of claiming to be democrat. If you can't see that, then you should just admit, you're not really in to politics lol. The Votes Nikki are getting are not from Republicans, she will not win any republican votes.

She wemt from 19.1% in Iowa to 43.2% in NH in just 1 week. Next state is her home state SC. If she wins, she receives all 29 delegates. If that occurs, she'll be in the lead. Otherwise, she likely would drop out soon after. This is very much a 2 person race.

What makes you think she will win SC, where Trump is expected to win by even bigger margins over Hailey. Her biggest and only bet was NH. But if she lost by double digits in NH, she will lose even bigger elsewhere. No, it's over for her in this primaries. She should eye for 2028 and forget 2024.

In a week Christie, Vivek, and Desantis all dropped out. That helped quite a bit in her poll numbers rising because there was simply no other options for anti trump votes to go. She needs to win the Republican primary with actual rep voters choosing her and so far she’s 0-2 in that regard

I have watched very many elections in my half century of life and I still do not understand the electoral collage. Why should a smattering of voters in just 2 states define who the candidate is? There are 48 other states that should get to have some input for their choices. No, the Colorado SC found enough evidence to disqualify him, but he is on the ballot because he appealed to the SC: it is on hold. And note, this is not a criminal case, so no beyond reasonable doubt, but the preponderance of evidence would be enough. I think he's not likely to win his appeal, based on the ridiculous notion that the holder of the office of President is not an officer under the US Constitution, or that the didn't swear an oath to support the Constitution. I don't see the SCOTUS overturn the Colorado SC's decision.

That must be one of those "alternative" facts. It certainly isn't an actual fact. Trump is back on the ballot because - are you listening? - the Colorado GOP appealed the courts decision to take him off it. That's the reason and it's the only reason. The case is now pending a decision from SCOTUS. Learn to (a) acknowledge the truth (fat chance) and (b) tell the truth (equally unlikely, I know). Should you pull of this mighty feat other people will cease to despise you....and that's the least of it.

Trump doesn't want to debate, he's an incumbent who already leads all the polls and does not debate very well (especially lately, what with his slurred speech and forgetfulness). When you're in the lead you want to minimize public exposure and debates. When you're losing you need to maximize debates and exposure. Why? Because the person who's winning wants the status quo to continue, and the person who's losing wants to change things up. If you're already winning, safest bet is to participate in as little as possible. That's why I'd love to see this. I think Trump will still easily win the nomination, he's got his goons in lock step behind him. But his mental state is rapidly deteriorating, so having him on as many debates as possible, whether against Haley or anyone else, is ideal.

"She did better than expected". FYI - She lost. I keep hearing this nonsense over and over. How is second place so great? She isn't competitive anywhere and has no chance whatsoever to clinch the nomination. Democrats are so hopeful because their candidate is so astoundingly weak. I've never seen anything like this in politics. Trump is going to be the nominee (according to Kornacki its a mathematical certainty) and the sooner Democrats realize this the better their chances will be in 2024.
