How many different languages made an attempt at it? What band were the radio waves sent on? Most of these answers are in the first 2 paragraphs of the study, but can be found throughout the study.

He also failed to mention the very recent one that we sent out is just a picture of two naked humans

Scenario 1: their home planet has become unlivable so they're looking for a new planet: they're not gonna want us around if they want the planet for them. Scenario 2: they're a thriving civilization looking for resources: they're gonna enslave us to mine out our own planet, or if they're big enough just destroy our planet as a whole and get resources that way
