@@Vihaan8888 im gonna have to agree with him. Dragon ball is iconic because of his panelling and choreography. But he was heavily forgetful and his writing suffered for it. Doesnt erase the fact that he started and headed and amazing series may he rest in peace
@@Vihaan8888bro why do I have to lie just because someone’s dead? It’s like saying your dog was your favorites and your friends dog dies, then you switch up saying your friends dog was your favorite 😂. Make is make sense. Naruto and one piece and bleach was better anyways. You can say dragon ball created them, but who cares cause they are still going to be going but not dragon ball now lol
@@LilNiegrodragon ball will prolly still be going, it’ll prolly end a bit sooner then intended though because I believe toyotaro was actaully drawing it but Akira was giving Notes

agreed, leave the story as is. spinoffs are fine but the original story should at most have remakes that are as true to the source as possible for future generations to enjoy without all the faults the og anime had with preservation

Akio Iyoku, who is the president of Capsule Corporation Tokyo, and Toriyama's right hand man, said that he has 10 years of dragonball content planned The rights won't be going to Disney! It's Toei Animation & Shueisha's most profitable series The Dragonball Super manga is still ongoing and is drawn by Toyotarou
I especially feel so much sadness for Toyotarou. Him and Toriyama shared that office space, and now he will always be thinking of Toriyama whenever he sits down to draw the manga
That would be his motivation to keep going, he will never be like Toriyama and I don't think he need to be, but he can keep him alive by continuing the work that was left behind, Toriyama can rest in piece, because he know everything he create is in good hands.
Exactly, there's already a plan in motion. Not much will change. Long term? Of course changes will be made, but that's a bridge we can't cross until we come to it.
Partially true. Toriyama was there to help guide Toyotarou's art direction. This is abundantly clear in the DB Super manga, where in most issues Toyotarou leaves in tidbits of "Toriyama helped me with x." (Pretty sure he included Sensei somewhere in them, but I don't remember) One particular example that comes to mind is one panel of Jaco bowing in the Moro Arc, where both Toyotarou and Toriyama's drawings were almost night and day. Edit: Misunderstood what the comment was saying, leaving the comment up anyway because honestly idk

Life past 2010s is kind of grim. We lost Akira Toriyama, Kentaro Miura, Stan Lee, they are GOAT's of their art forms, Yoshihiro Togashi is also almost 60 and he's been feeling sick since his 40s, every now and then you hear how he's not feeling well and can't continue his work. Time is taking these great and talanted people but they will not be forgotten.
Dragon Ball Was The first Anime Ive ever Watched and its the Reason im a Fan of Anime Today, Cant believe This is the First thing i saw when i open RU-vid. R.I.P Legend Akira Toriyama, Thanks For Creating Such a Legendary Anime and Manga 😔😔😔 (I was Crying a lil bit while typing this😥)
Toyotaro gonna take good care of "dragon ball super manga" & also "dragon ball Daima", that's why "Akira Toriyama" choose "Toyotaro" to continue with his legacy, we don't need to worry about "dragon ball" because is in good hand with "Toyotaro"
Yeah I think Toyotaro has been doing most of the dbs manga and asking Toriyama for approval. Plus he is a fan of dragon ball so I think it’s in good hands
@@ieatratsfordinner2064 yes i read it and watched it from almost day 1 with hope it's going to be "good next chapter" or good next time, but all I saw is how they ruined themes and characters, how they trashed everything that was established before (even before z ) and how the most iconic character in all of manga/ anime has turned into idiot clown who didn't kissed his wife and whole motion turned into "I'm strong I like to eat"

I picked up Dragon Ball this year in an attempt to watch it fully this time from beginning to end, I had only seen Z, GT and Super but never the First Original Dragon Ball. It been a bliss so far, when the news came out I thought it was just the algorithm getting into my business because of what I was putting all my free time into but it turned out to be true, it always seems like the greatest manga artist go out too soon! It’s always like they are too talented to share their talents with us and must present it to a higher power. Maybe he’s up there being an architect in heaven creating a dragon ball themed heaven us. Rest in peace Dragon Ball Wizard!! You will be missed. Thank you for getting me into fitness and eating lots of food in the hopes of becoming a super Saiyan as a kid.
I appreciate this At risk of sounding an ass (I am autistic and struggle with what is deemed socially exceptable, in regards to loss and death it is one of my big issues) I want to thank you for making a video that touches on what the future for his projects hold. It was something I thought about on my own, but I knew/felt it was gonna be something no one would want to talk about until well, we would already know what happens. So, thank you for being willing to touch on that.
Rest In Peace Akira❤😊, but at less he finally Dragon ball with all we have left is end of z to work with, 😢 but what’s good about being a reader is when your finish you can rewatch your whole work you put your heart and soul into from start to finish that you put , and it’s sad Akira Toriyama won’t have that😢. Rest In Peace ✌️
"Spend most of your life ruled by another, watch your race dwindle to a handful, and then tell me what has more meaning than your own strength" ------- Vegeta. Fly high Toriyama 🕊️ (Thanks for 5k likes.)
WISH WE HAVE DRAGON BALLS IN REAL LIFE TOO 😭😭😭 RIP SENSEI AKIRA TORIYAMA THANKYOU FOR MAKING MY CHILDHOOD SO WONDERFUL MANY ANIME COMES AND GO BUT DRAGON BALL IS ALWAYS GONNA BE MY FAVOURITE❤❤. DRAGON BALL HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART.
R.I.P Akira Toriamya!!! You will always be remembered in the hearts of all your family friends and fans! your legacy will always burn in the hearts of the fans that grew up watching the Dragonball series and beyond! I don't know if Toriamya knew this but he has shaped a lot of us in ways that make us what we are today.
RIP Toriyama sensei who made most of our childhood beautiful without a doubt you were was and always will be the greatest mangaka ever and again thank you sensei 🕊
It should end after the current projects have released. Diama, the Super Manga, and Sparking Zero have all been finalized. The story, as far as Toriyama is concerned, was complete. It's all up to Toyotaro to finish it off.
Rip to Akira toriyama he made my childhood 💔🕊️ I watch Dragon Ball for the first time at 6 years old I've been anime fans since 2009 that was the first anime I ever watched in my life
The news was crazy. I did my own video reaction to it. I grew up with Dragon Ball as a kid in the early and late 1990s. Those were the legendary days for anime and cartoons. It's not like that anymore. If it wasn't for Dragon Ball, I probably would have never went to school to study animation. That led me to working as an intern at Pixar Animation Studios, and working at game companies such as Deck Nine Games. I'm still working on my career and uploading videos. Dragon Ball was one of the biggest inspirations as a kid.
i hope the writing of daima was finished i was already looking forward for it and was positive about it unlike a lot of the fanbase and knowing now that daima will probably be the last new Toriyama work we ever see it makes me look forward to it even more but also makes me feel sad dragon ball will forever be one of my favorite series and just a favorite thing in general
I love your recount of the fight with frieza. especially how, none of that was considered by toriyama at the time, he was kind of doing what he always does best, winging it. however, everything you said is accurate, as toriyama's accidental genius is one of his greatest super powers
I hope Toriyama’s vision is further cared for by people who understand Dragon Ball, and what that vision meant. This shook me, I never thought this would happen, I genuinely hope for the best for Akira’s loved ones, only God knows how they have to be feeling right now, I’ll miss Akira Toriyama, the god of manga, he’s the reason why I got into drawing the way I did and even wanting to get into writing. Thank you, Toriyama, thank you for creating one of my favorite stories ever told in anime and manga, and thank you for being such a legend and creative influence in my life.
Not just Dragon ball but DQ 3's 2D/HD remake still doesn't have a release date and it just so happens that he helped make both the Dragon quest games AND Chrono Trigger/Cross as well.
There are words I cannot describe after the shocking news last night. The inner child me cries with the passing of Akira Toriyama who died at acute subdural hematoma He is one of the most influence creators we have in our time, and he's inspired other manga artists to create other franchises like Naruto and One Piece. I would have never gotten into Toonmai at a young age if not for Dragon Ball Z. Let alone other medias like movies and video games. RIP Akira Toriyama. We will forever miss you.
@@Lotus3.2.2. Akira toriyamas son owns the dragon ball franchise he has a say on whether or not the story ends he’s been overseeing the manga and other properties of the dragon ball franchise with his father for awhile now
Dragon Ball will continue no matter what, just because Akira Toriyama died doesn't means everything just gets cancelled. Sure it'll feel weird without Akira, but think of it like this: more Movies characters can be canon, custom forms will be more accepted. SSG, SSB, SS3, and SSBE will get more Ws, more anime adaptations. It's going to be okay, we're going to get over it.
I don't know man, the Super Hero/Black Frieza arc might be the last one. I don't want it to end either as there's still so much to explore, but this may be it
@@JaxElectroSaiyanThere's plenty to do with DB. Visiting planet salada in U6, the 5 strongest mortals in the multiverse, arcs involving more gods from other universes. There's enough world building that it can still go on without toriyama even if it'll be tough going forward.

@@JaxElectroSaiyani don't think it will end, now DB rights are property of his Family, but i think they will let Toyotaro to take the control of the manga, that guy has been prepared by toriyama during 10 whole years, he knows dragon ball like his own hand, and can improve a lot on his artstyle if he's given the chance, the moro and granola arcs while toriyama still had influence, he did let toyotaro to do his own thing with very few corrections
Now the series will go downhill. The man who started it all is gone and so is his vision for the series. I fear another GT is on the horizon. RIP Akira. RIP Dragonball.
Akira Toriyama, He helped shape what most manga are today... With out his work I think manga/anime would be in a different place. From all of his work over the years all of his blood, sweat, and tears to create what he truly loved is what we should always keep dear to our hearts. All of the messages through out all of the stories he has made should be looked over once again so we can cherish what he has made. What a great man he was, I hope he can look down here and say "I've done my part". To the better tomorrow! I hope and pray people learn from all of his work and take note of what he has laid forth for the future of anime and manga
OMG THIS MAN MADE MY CHILDHOOD, the reason getting out of school was so lit and jumping on the coach screaming jumping and kicking like a animal when goku appeared
Sad Akira doesn’t get to see how big sparking 0 is going to be. I’m sure he’s going to proud of many new fans he gets. I guarantee madden, 2K gta & COD get put on back burners when that game drops 💯
Rest in peace, A.T. Remember everyone, Dragonball wasnt his first choice of manga, it was in fact Dr Slump, and before that, his H comic, Lady Red. Ut DB became a cash cow for him, so he pushed it forward, because it was easy to write, and make money off of. He wanted to walk away from DB, many times, hence the time gap between db, gt and super. He always returned to it, but often forgot about what he was doing with it; hence his forgetful attitude towards it. Akira never cared about DB, so much as the money it made him.
It's over with akira toriyama gone the franchise is over yeah someone else can take over but it won't be the some akira he made it he created it yeah someone else can take over but it's never the same rest in peace akira toriyama you created a legacy that won't ever be forgotten it will live forever
As a kid toriyama-san changed my life like so many others. I learned to keep pushing your limits and never give up hope. To care for your friends and family even tho they might not care for you the same. To keep bettering yourself as I'm doing now as a father and a husband. Thank you for the lessons, I'll be sure to pass them to my children.
Love the video! It’s unfortunate that Akira couldn’t stay on this earth longer. Although I didn’t know the man personally his work has impacted my childhood and was the catalyst to me become a very avid anime fan. Coming home from 6th grade to watch DBZ on toonami was an experience
Even the greatest warriors need rest. Your legacy will live on in our hearts forever, May your spirit soar among the stars, forever remembered in the annals of history. #AkiraToriyama #DBZ #GV #RIP
The relationship between Toriyama and Toyotara itself is worth of a manga! A legendary man who mastered an art and has trained a disciple who loves him in that art for over 10 years who by his turn is now in charge of continuing his sensei´s mission. The disciple then became better than his sensei.
Since we're on the battle of Goku and Frieza, Akira last written arcs stated that the upgraded form of Black Frieza had wiped out Gas and Oil at the end of Granolah Arc. so he already surpasses Goku, Vegeta, or even Beerus where he had his sight set to dethrone the Omni King to rule the multiverse. It appear to be his intention unless the new writer had something in mind to change Frieza goal or he will no longer be evil if he did achieve to overthrown both future/present Grand Zeno.
Very sad. I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z as a kid in the 90’s and if it wasn’t for Akira Toriyama’s body of work that help solidify the franchise as a global phenomenon to this day. There will never ever be another creator that can replace Toriyama. I think the franchise is going strong and without Akira, the show will forever go on. Dragon Ball isn’t going anywhere and I think Crunchyroll and Bandai Namco will address the future of the franchise and how they will handle them in honor of Toriyama’s legacy. Goodbye, Mr. Toriyama and thank you for all the great memories.
I really hope dragon ball will go into the right hands I would hate to see my favorite franchise be ruined like Disney has with it’s own brands rip to the greatest artist ever and writer
akira made me who i am today and hearing he passed is just too cruel to hear, im kinda scared on how dragon ball will be handled in the upcoming years, after daima what comes next?
