Decades ago, a supersonic commercial airliner called the Concorde could take passangers from New York to London in 3 hours. It was the "airline of the future," but it hasn't flown in 20 years. Why? Because it was extremely expensive and people didn't think it was worth saving a couple of hours of their trip. In the future, products will improve gradually but with each new improvement, they will become more and more expensive, and the public won't justify spending more for a product they are already satisfied with. When we think of the future, we don't think of flying cars simply existing. We think of them as the standard. This will never happen. The cars will be so expensive that only 1% of people will have them and it won't be worth investing in new infrastructure because not enough people have them. I do not believe the world will look that dramatically different 30 years from now.
I can't help but think companies in the future will create incredible technology and futuristic products and then immediately find the cheapest ways to produce them and there will be nothing of quality. Look at the quality of basically anything between now and 30 years ago. Even $90,000 vehicles look like they're made of plastic.
As a psychic, I looked into the future!I've looked at 2030, 2035, 2040 2060 and 2100 but I'll talk about the latter two since it's more positive lol. Here's what I saw: VR sunglasses, holograms are popular. No one had cars in 2100. I saw a space elevator. There was eco friendly architecture, 2060 was very green,lots of trees with glass buildings. I also saw hologram bracelet that makes clothes.
Alex was born in 1994? I had no idea I was older than him, albeit slightly (I was born in 1993). Either way it means I’m close in age to at least one of you guys which adds to the feeling that in the 8 years I’ve followed you all I feel like I’ve “grown up” with you in a sense. Also, if you’re interested in Japanese history Robin you should see if the 2024 adaptation of Shogun is available in the UK. It’s one of the best tv shows to come out in recent years in my opinion. It’s based on a book that was previously made into a miniseries in 1980.
I dont think the world will look that different. I think we'll still use smart phones and I think virtual reality tech will just be an extra cool gimmick but thats all it'll be.
